Or a store that carries their stuff...

You know who carries their stuff?
Anthropologie.

My bad. They have a little outlet here in the Mission that's super cheap and good and has the stuff you're looking for.

Sorry...

I do the same thing with catalogs. I imagine owning it, using it, being sick of it and then I throw the catalog away. Only when I pretend-yearn for it after its pretend-boredom do I actually consider buying it. Smiley: lol

I'm such a clotheshorse.

If only I still had the same figure I had in my 20's.

And a endless flow of cash.

Though the coat in lipstick red does come in a 14, so I know where I want a new dress coat from.

Now I just need to win the Powerball this weekend.

Lol. Joph. It's all about the *****. See. Guys have them. Girls dont (at least not all the time!). That lack leaves women feeling incomplete, so they fill it up by shopping.

ok. it's *a* theory, right?

Have you ever seen a man shop in the Craftsman section of Sears? We put women to shame. Smiley: lol

Most decent men can't dress to save their lives. I've learned this through trial and error.

Luckily, smarter men are glad to turn the fashion burden over to the women in their lives with little to no complaints.

Also very true. I love shopping for men's clothes.

I do not mind shopping for clothes. It is usually only a half day adventure to purchase all my outfits for the season. Now my girlfriend, she loves to spend. Spen spend spend. Is it normal to spend 3 hours looking for a complete outfit and only wear it once?

I stick with T-Shirts and the occasional button down so my biggest problem is just matching colors. Ladies on the other hand, seem to have a lot more put into clothes shopping. So many factors play into why this blouse is perfect and why these jeans are horrible.

I'm a kamakaze shopper. I get in, grab what I want, try it on, get out. I can't stand to shop for hours, but I do love pretty things.

Heh, one of my biggest timesavers when getting together a good outfit is to confess my lack of ability to dress myself smartly to the nearest female store employee. I am promptly turned into a 165lb Ken doll.

I suspect Ken is the butt of many cruel fashion jokes in girly circles.

Not only is it normal, but it's probably coded in our DNA. I wouldn't be surprised if thousands of years ago, the women forced the men to go hunt different kinds of animals because "rabbit fur just wouldn't be good enough for the party tonite. And I think if you can get a bison hide, that would be great for my dress."

I can see PETA just gunning for me now!

I feel very unwomanlike at the moment reading through all this. While I love pretty clothes too, I hate shopping with a passion. I want to go in, grab something off the rack that catches my interest and is inexpensive and get the hell out of there. I also dont bother with the catalogues, knowing I probably cant afford whats in there in the first place, so why bother setting myself up to want a $300 sweeater.
