Good article. A tad biased on the writer's part, but what isn't these days?

I helped elect ZigZagZeller a couple of different times down in GA. Met him once (short man) briefly and haven't really regretted voting for him.

My grandfather dislikes him strongly and the discussion we had on the subject was one of the few where I managed to come out with the win. The reason my grandpa dislikes the man is the same reason I like him. He's a politician to the core and he throws his weight in whatever direction will benefit him most with as many voters as possible. To my grandpa, that's being spineless and waffling about. To me, it's doing the job and getting your constituents what they are asking for. He seems to come through pretty good on getting what he's after, too. That counts.

I find it interesting how the only time people can come together as a unified force is in the times of disaster, in times of a negative trend in the Quality of Life stock price. Why can't we do this when God(nature, karma, luck, whatever you call it) isn't showing us how frivolously we are using our time and money when things are barely okay? Can we agree that we do not like to see people suffer without due cause? As many casinos that existed in Lousiana, there is no way it should be the 2nd poorest state. What will the Mardi Gras be like next year? What kind of people govern a body that they do not truly care about? I think the word for it is tyrant.
