This is actually the Alpha they are still in. Alpha 2. So I was kind of shocked to get in so early. Guess they want to see how the game runs on crappy machines, lol.

I remember hearing about a possible DnD MMO over a year ago. I've been playing since second edition around when I was 12. Love to hear how it actually pans out.

Alright. I'm signing up for Beta.

I think I am going to sign up as well. The first MMROPG I ever played was Asheron's Call, and I stuck with it for years. Not to mention it made me an addict. Seems interesting.

I like it so far. Just got to get my mind out of EQ mode, and more into Baldur's Gate mode. Not too thrilled with the 3rd person view, but I guess I'll get used to it.

Gratz on being selected, I wasnt.Smiley: cry

Maybe when it goes to beta I can get a shot to try it. DnD's MMo concept seems quite different. and worth a try to me.

Congrats, Nad! I signed up a week or two ago - hope I get in as well some time. As far as the 3rd person view, I've learned (with WoW and EQ2 that it works better for tactics and gives you a better chance for watching aggro. Also, you can see your character execute spiffy moves (if its anything like WoW or EQ2).

I used to miss the 1st person view, but now that I'm back in EQ1, I find myself missing the decent camera functions that EQ2 and WoW have. I know I can be in 3rd person mode in EQ, but really, what's the point? It would just remind me of the lame animation (sure it was good 6 years ago...).

Oh yeah, I finally got accepted into Aude Sapere - I hope you'll find some time every once in while to group with Dash - he hit 18 today.

Oh, I'll still be playing EQ. One thing I've learned today after countless deaths is, you really need a group in this game, heh. So when I'm ready to play with friends and not in a pick up group, I'll hit EQ Smiley: smile

It would only really be D&D, if the game allowed people to create their own layouts, dungeons, and storyline, and could edit the game to fit it.

Kinda like Excitebike...only.. not.

After viewing the screenshots, I think my current system would likely supernova before even getting to the intro screen.

Guess FFXI will have to do for now....

Neph, my computer sucks. Seriously. The game runs fine on my machine though. The only lag is the lag coming from a new and unstable game. (and it's really not that unstable now). For the first time, I'm able to run shadows and not have it bog my system down.

Hmmm...might give it a go then. Doubt I'll be approved for the beta, but we shall see.
