Long-*** story

The Courier-Journal wrote:
She was a high school senior who had just turned 18 -- a churchgoing former Girl Scout who hadn't received a single admonition in her four months working at the McDonald's in Mount Washington.

But when a man who called himself "Officer Scott" called the store on April 9, 2004, and said an employee had been accused of stealing a purse, Louise Ogborn became the suspect.

"He gave me a description of the girl, and Louise was the one who fit it to the T," assistant manager Donna Jean Summers said.

Identifying himself as a police officer, the caller issued an ultimatum: Ogborn could be searched at the store or be arrested, taken to jail and searched there.

"I was bawling my eyes out and literally begging them to take me to the police station because I didn't do anything wrong," Ogborn said later in a deposition. She had taken the $6.35-an-hour position after her mother lost her job. "I couldn't steal -- I'm too honest. I stole a pencil one time from a teacher and I gave it back."

Summers, 51, conceded later that she had never known Ogborn to do a thing dishonest. But she nonetheless led Ogborn to the restaurant's small office, locked the door, and -- following the caller's instructions -- ordered her to remove one item of clothing at a time, until she was naked.

"She was crying," recalled Kim Dockery, 40, another assistant manager, who stood by watching. "A little young girl standing there naked wasn't a pretty sight."

Summers said later that "Officer Scott," who stayed on the telephone, giving his orders, sounded authentic. He said he had "McDonald's corporate" on the line, as well as the store manager, whom he mentioned by name. And she thought she could hear police radios in the background.

Summers shook each garment, placed it in a bag and took the bag away. "I did exactly what he said to do," Summers said of her caller.

It was just after 5 p.m., and for Ogborn, hours of degradation and abuse were just beginning.
They story is waaayyy too long for a complete quoting of even the more interesting and relevant portions but the girl was put in an office and storeroom, watched by multiple managers and employees in varying shifts and made to do jumping jacks, squats and spin in a chair (all while nude). All because someone on the phone claiming to be a cop demanded it.

(A) Why in the hell did the girl consent to it? She even says she was begging to be taken into custody so why didn't she just say "Fuck no" to a strip search by her manager and let the cops come pick her up?

(B) Why in the hell did no one besides the janitor think "Why is a guy claiming to be a cop sitting on the phone for hours on end, trusting me at my word that this girl is clear, instead of coming down and actually handling this in person"? For that matter, if Ogborn was begging to go to the police station, why didn't someone tell the caller "She says she'd rather go to the police station, send someone along"?

Are people this fucking retarded? Sadly, I guess the apparent answer is "yes".

What age were the assistant managers? 12? Seriously, how stupid can you be?

I think probably a lightbulb should have gone off as soon as "Oficer Scott" demanded she do jumping jacks. WTF?!

This is a joke right?

Armed with such intelligence, she may just make it to manager at McDonalds one day.

Ahh, the American dream. I'd like to thank Louise Ogborn for making my tax money such a wise investment in her future. I look forward to educating many more prospective pole dancers and burger flippers.

But hey, she goes to church..

I didn't finish reading it. There is no possible way that that many stupid people could all be functioning normally in a work environment.

Nobody actually takes a collect call, convinces an innocent coworker to get naked, do jumping jacks, then kiss them for a district manager.

It's either the story is completely a hoax, or all of them are in on it in order to split a settlement from the restaurant chain. I find it impossible to believe a jury would be able to sit through this story with straight faces.

That Nix guy was not fooled at all. He was just playing along with it because he liked where it was going.

38 year old man gets told by "police officer" to have a young girl suck his cock for "police reasons"

38 year old man makes 18 year old girl suck his co
ck because he truly believes that the "police officer" is infact a "police officer" that says it has to be done to see if the naked girl has drungs on her?

18 year old girl - Dumb as a rock, harsh to say, but almost deserves it for being so dumb. I cannot really say she deserves that, but how can you be that fucking stupid?

Summers store manager - Had nothing to gain from this so must be dumb as a brick as well.

Nix - sick fuc
king ******* that knew it was ********* but decided to go along with this to get his jollies off and ruin a young girls life. May he rot in jail, then rot in hell afterwards...

And Nix did as instructed.

He pulled the apron away from Ogborn, leaving her nude again, and described her to the caller. He ordered her to dance with her arms above her head, to see, the caller said, if anything "would shake out." He made her do jumping jacks, deep knee bends, stand on a swivel chair, then a desk.

He made her sit on his lap and kiss him; the caller said that would allow Nix to smell anything that might be on her breath.

When Ogborn refused to obey the caller's instructions, Nix slapped her on the buttocks, until they were red -- just as the caller told him to do, Ogborn testified later.

I have no words.

Louise Ogborn had been in the back office for nearly 2½ hours when the caller said she should kneel on the brick floor in front of Nix and unbuckle his pants.Ogborn cried and begged Nix to stop, she recounted in her deposition. "I said, `No! I didn't do anything wrong. This is ridiculous."

But she said Nix told her he would hit her if she didn't sodomize him, so she did.

Like the rest of her ordeal, it was captured on a surveillance camera, recorded on to a DVD. And it continued until Summers returned to the office to get some gift certificates, and Nix had Ogborn cover herself again.

The caller told Nix then that he could leave but that Summers needed to find another man to replace him. She called in Thomas Simms, a 58-year-old maintenance man who did odd jobs at the store.

Simms would say in a deposition later that he was shocked by what he saw — a young woman trying to cover herself with a small piece of cloth. Summers insisted it was OK for him to watch her, that "corporate" had approved it.

Nix left, drove a few blocks to his home and immediately called his best friend, Grigsby, who recalls Nix saying, "I have done something terribly bad."

Refusing to play

`Something is not right,' 9th-grade dropout decides

It was Simms, the Mount Washington store's maintenance man and a ninth-grade dropout, who refused to play the caller's game.

He had stopped by the restaurant for dessert and coffee when Summers pulled him into the office and handed him the phone. The caller told Simms to have Ogborn drop the apron and to describe her. Simms refused.

"He said, `Something is not right about this,'" Summers recalled in her deposition.

This is definitely fake. The uneducated "odd job" man is the only one with common sense enough to stop the abuse? Way too Hollywood. And since when does McDonald's have odd-job men?

Honestly, I think this all is just another get-rich-quick scam and McDonald's will be writing the checks. Now, if it isn't the said scam, I am at a loss of words for the sheer stupidity.

Urban legend. I remember hearing it back in 1992 from a friend who worked at McDonald's. If you don't forward this to ten people within the next 15 minutes, something bad will happen to you in under day. If you forward it to 25 or more people (including me) Microsoft will send you a free in-ground pool complete with an Orca and three month supply of seals. I don't know how they track it, but it's true, I swear!!!!

Man pleads guilty in hoax case
Victim approves deal for probation

By Andrew Wolfson
awolfson@courier-journal.com
The Courier-Journal

A Bullitt County man who claimed he was duped into sexually humiliating a teenage McDonald's worker last year by a man impersonating a police officer pleaded guilty yesterday to a felony charge of unlawful imprisonment.

In a plea bargain approved by his victim, Walter Nix Jr., 43, will get probation after agreeing to a one-year term for the felony and for sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor. He originally was charged with sodomy and assault, for which he could have been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

From my second link (using a source besides the Courier-Journal) and going along with Flea's tidbit...
Quote:
It started with a deceptive phone call in April 2004 to the McDonald’s in Mount Washington.

The caller's tone was persuasive -- perhaps even hypnotic. David Stewart, a corrections officer at the time, under the guise a police officer, is accused of convincing manager Donna Summers to strip-search a female employee.

At the time, Walter Nix was engaged to Summers. When Nix arrived, he, too, talked with Stewart. According to police, Nix sodomized Louise Ogborn, who was 18 at he time. If a judge goes along with the plea agreement, Nix will get a year jail sentence probated to five years, meaning he won't spend any time in jail.

“I would like to have seen him get more. But I have to look at the realities of the situation like this and what a jury would do in a case like this. He had no prior criminal history,” says Mike Mann, commonwealth’s attorney.

“She wants Mr. Nix to apologize,” says attorney William Boone, who represents Ogborn. He says she's okay with Nix's plea agreement. Even though if a jury found nix guilty of sodomy, he could have served up to 20 years in prison.

“Louise approves because a man pled guilty to doing bad things to her,” says Boone.
If it's a hoax/urban legend then it's the kind where multiple news sources report a year later about one of the guys being on trial.

Edit: Another link from the Lexington Herald-Leader discussing the story.
