I truly need help, PleaseFollow

#1 Oct 12 2005 at 12:23 AM Rating: Decent
I love MMORPG games. There fun and I find that I have alot of free time to put into them. I have the problem with some of the games that are out tho, Non of them have anything new/rewarding coming out, or they already have 100,000 players with the best gear/items.

I have played EQ, PSO, FFXI, EQ2 and WoW. I am currently playing WoW and it is alright. Lost alot of its lust after you reach the stage of the game where only 3 instances offer you anything slighty rewarding.

I was excited to hear about FFXI coming to 360. I loved that games sence to team work and community. Great game, yet when it is released with 360 all players will be forced to play with "Uber" players. Im not sure if im going to get it now.

So im hoping someone can tell me a new upcoming game to look foward too that fits my type of style.

- I like team work. I play online games to play with others
- PvP is nice and fun, but its not a must.
- Great players, a real community that doesnt spam general chat about there "leet" items and there ablility to "Pwn" (cuz we can all pistol whip people in WoW)
- Long term commitment. I want to be force to play alot to get what I need. Its not rewarding if people can play for 2 hours a day and achive the same as others who play 10+ hours.
- Something I can play on diel up ( I have played all games on diel up and only noticed lag in WoW battlegrounds)
- A fair balance in class. Tired of WoW for the fact 3 classes can beat every other class. (Shaman, Warrior, Hunter)

I disliked these games for this reason.

- WoW, Community sucks. Guilds can control whole servers and stop other players progression. (My guild is second on our server, yet we cant get kazzak because of the top horde and alli guilds working together to stop everyone else)

- FFXI, Slow.. I didnt mind it until I played WoW..

- EQ2, I cant really say why I didnt like it.. I just didnt like anything about it.

- EQ, Awesome game, Got tired of getting trained by the few jerks and just moved on.

- PSO (Phantasy Star Online), Yet not a true MMORPG. Was a good game (when I was little) I hated the hacks. As bad as diablo.

If anyone can please point me in the right direction so I can move on past WoW. I truly dislike that game but have nothing else to fill my time. (I dislike going out, for my own reasons) Please someone tell me whats going on in the MMORPG world.

Wrong forum, but:

The world spawn bosses, namely Kazzak and Azuregos, are merely a tiny portion of endgame content. To say that a guild controls the whole server because of these 2 mobs is foolish. Nothing is preventing your guild from doing ZG, MC, BWL, and the upcoming Ahn'Quiraj, all of which have loot comparable or better to the two world spawns.

You seem to be the one crying about me being in the wrong section. You need help kid. Your social skills are as gimped as spirit. Go someplace else to try and be noticed. My time spent with you is now over.

Ues thats true, but it is all getting old. It takes our guild 1 day to clear out MC. All but rag is to ez. BWL is a major step up from BWL. I am just getting bored of WoW. Have spent a year on it and since then we have battlegrounds, ZG and BWL. Battlegrounds takes the PvP action to one area all times. *unless you coulnt getting ganked PvP*

As far as Kazzak. Im a priest so I depend on his for the eye of Kazzak, unless I farm for days to get it from other mobs that take 10+ players to kill (for best drop rate)

Mostly its the players. Its VERY hard to find people who are nice and can hold a conversation. People are selfish. Its very hard to find players who look out for others as much as themselfs.

Anyways. Im looking for a NEW mmorpg. Im done with WoW unless I see something great at blizzcon. (New races/classes/Town vs Town PvP *not in a BG instance*)

You're the one that came here asking for help. Don't complain when you don't get it. Beggars can't be choosers.

As to the EQ situation, training is really only an issue in popular low level zones. The amount of trains you'll find in a zone like Nadox is almost insignificant compared to the amount of trains you'll find in a zone like the Paludal Caverns. You really need to get beyond the newb zones (full of, you guessed it, newbs!) to experience the more skilled players that make up much of the high levels.

I'm not saying that all high level players are skilled, or that all low level players are newbs, but low level zones are much more likely to hold unskilled players that could create trains than higher level zones, especially since high level groups have options like succor.

Now **** off.

You can play hide the salami. We play at family reunions all the time, it's great fun. My uncle is especially good at it. I guess he just has a knack for it.

I enjoy "Life: Planet Earth". Its a fun little RPG where I control Nephthys. I get to utilize team work skills, I am able to communicate with other nice people, and ignore those idiots who spam crap.

I put alot of time into the game and the rewards are much more so than those who only try for a couple of hours a day. I don't even need an ISP. The best part is, that the only nerfed class is the White Humanoid Male. The rest receive all sorts of bonuses and rewards.

I would suggest that you get "Life" today. It sounds like you really need it.

At the top of the forum. Plain as day. Given you seem to be "faint of heart" Titan, and not used to "No holds barred" forums, it might be wise to listen to the regulars in the asylum and gtfo.

You post in the wrong place, then try and troll when you're told to shut the fuck up and move along? Stop diddling yourself over the females in your mmorpg's and post in the right place you numpty, inbred, ******.

I would imagine this should go in the multi-game forum.

Oddly enough, very few people post there. Yet *everyone* wants to compare games and *every* forum gets tired of "our" game being compared to others.

Ask me in six years, I'll be researching which to buy then :)

you sound like you should be playing EQ1 still. if you want a challenge, with forced grouping to accomplish anything meanigfull, and you think a good reward should be the result of spending countless hours staring a a computer screen,...you are exactly the type of player EQ1 was designed for.

they have a new expansion coming out too.

most other mmorpgs recognize the majority of people would rather have a less demending game time wise, and WOW found a way to incorperate that into the most popular gaming theme, fantasy. that is why they are at 600,000 players and still adding servers when all other games are either stagnant or shrinking in membership.

im board with WOW but still play it once in a while because it is easy to log on and do a quest that requires a little exploring and will result in me being able to complete it without a raid party or a full group. eq1 doesnt, eq2 does but gives you crap rewards unlless you spent countless hours begging for a group to finnish it. and i like the enviroment in EQ1 and EQ2 better.

the next one comming out with any promise is VANGUARD, saga of heros. designed by the people who origonally gave us EQ1. it will probably be right up your ally with forced grouping, countless timesinks for a decent reward, camping rare spawns for rare drops that require a raid to kill...for one reward for one person. due out on 2006.
