Well DSD I just went back and read your thread about your kid. That is a pain. My girlfriend is a teacher that works in a daycare during the summers and specifically works with special needs children like the one that your child has to deal with.

I should sit her down and make her read your thread and see if she could offer any advice. Off hand I could only say bring it up to the head of the day care. If no action is taken there then most day cares have a board of directors or an equivalent and the threat of calling a newspaper about a negligent day care that doesnt handle abuse will get them into action like you wouldnt believe.

Other than that for the price of one return airplane ticket you will have one 6'4 200lb surly canuck waiting to administer a beating to one 3 year old retarded mute.

I will now attempt to revoke all stupidity.....wait it's impossible so well eh I guess I'll just try again....damn my stupidity.

would it be possible to escalate this up the chain of command?it doesnt sit right to me that they should be punished for spending three days with family, thats pretty uptight even for me.

a kid getting hit at school, petition the school board for her/his resignation. disability is not an acceptable excuse for an instructor to not have control of his/her class.

getting fired = monster jobs.com i agree the economy has takin a huge dive and jobs just arn't there. i dont understand how qualified, good loyal workers get dumped for idiots. youll get a better job, **** em.

Sorry bout the layoff, dude. Makes me feel like cnut for getting all twisted about losing my weekend to work. At least I have plenty of work to go do.

Friday just got better, b1tches.

Got the second phone interview for my desired job, just now. One more phone chat early next week; if it goes well, I get flown down for the real interview.

If that also goes as expected, I get the opportunity. I am actually pretty damn pleased with events atm, preemptive as that may be.

Sorry to hear that Aegis. I live in fear of something like that happening.

I've already started drinking. I was going to play EQ tonight, but if we can get a good enough crowd, I'll play in IRC with you guys.

Aegis, that truly sucks. I hope they call you back or you get into something even better lickety-split.

Ironically, I survived a bunch of layoffs when I was dying to lose a job I despised. Fuckers made me up and quit under my own steam. Yan-Yan doesn't like changing jobs frequently, even when she should.

Sorry Aegis about getting lay off.

I am blaming the weather here.

Today the only good thing was getting pointed to a nice little farm that netted me over a mil in profits.

Then I go bang my wrist and a minute later lose my balance and fall on my back. I'm going to be very sore tomorrow. Plus most likely soak from the rain and covered in mud.

Elne it wasnt the weather it was you being clumsy.

My Friday was damp. Very enjoyable morning in the wetness, but at work conducted only two tours today. I tried to advertise a trip on a real english 2 deck bus in real enlish weather, got a chuckle or two but no big tips.
Feeling tired now so I may head off to read and snuggle with Elne. Kiss her boo boos and what not.

I suck at selling cars because I don't like ripping people off. My manager was flipping today because I've been giving away warrentys on Used Cars and cause I'm not jacking up my rates. Like if they say ohhh it's 10999 then it was probably 7999 and they jacked up the cost to make it LOOK like they are really coming down. And I refuse to sell people cars that I know are Lemons. I'm still making a really good profit just not as much as the salesmen that jack people off.

Jonwin how do you explain the kitchen cabinet that just came crashing off the wall at 4am, waking us both up. The rain seems to be trying to work it's way into both the upstairs kitchen and guest bedroom.

I'm going to need more kisses for losing some of my favorite desert plates from my grandmother.

I suggest you start calling around and get quotes on how much it will cost to have all the brickwork repointed. Old homes are so much fun, but only if you have the money to spend on remodeling.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Do you even know what laid off means? It means the company can't afford to keep him employed due to a lack of income. When their income increases, he gets his job back.

And that usually begins with the most qualified people because the least qualified will accept lower pay, more hours and little or no benefits.

I am guessing, call this a wild hunch in light of current events, that Mikkle might be expressing some pent up frustration and possibly hurt feelings over being a target and is feeling some sort of karmatic joy out of all of this or he's just mean spirited.

That depends on the company and the local laws. I know of at least one employer in my locality that uses layoffs to weed out anyone who isn't worth a damn. They never fire a single person, but they lay off tons of them.

If you ever see an application with a work history that includes "laid off from Electrolux" you can bet that the person who filled it out isn't worth the time it takes to read the app. I've seen a whole boxfull of ex-Electrolux employees come and go in the past year, probably about 150 of them. Not a single one worth retaining. Sad, really.

It's worse when they say all that and there is another guy, who also happens to be a comeplete tool. Then when you press the issue at all they accuse you of trying to manipulate and decieve them. Motherfucking, decietful, soul stealing, sirenic, evil, sadistic, ****** fucking ****** *****.

Advice to you? Don't press it.
