That is very true. Thankfully, we dont live on base. The houses there are too small, the backyards are too small, the neighbors overly nosey and living off base we dont have all those nice regulations to stick too. As is, I try to stay off base unless I'm picking up, dropping off the husband or going to the doctors on base.

The only really nice housing here on base is the housing we live in and that was just built a few months ago. We already have a huge problem with Lead in the water.
At the housing committee meeting they were even saying that people who are talking on their cell phones, while their car is off and they are pulled over are being fined!! I always thought that if I pulled over to talk, it was ok but I guess not.
We'd live off base if we could afford it but Oceanside doesn't qualify for that CONUS bonus and we have pets so everything rentable is beyond our price range.
