I hate Texas. Always have and always will. Regardless of religious nuts and same sex marriages, that state is a nightmare.

i lived in houston for 5 years, and i can say, it is not limited to texas.

my church is having a signature drive for a petition to put the same gay marrage issue up for a special election as well as a law banning all types of stem cell rescearch.

then the pastor spent a good 5 minutes on the pulpet telling us how we need to all come together to do Gods work to end these horrible things.

....and the sheep all said "a men".

i believe in God. it is man i have a problem with. pastors, preachers, clerics, presidents, and every other type of leader are all men..or women.

this is how you controll the masses. you put false prophets in positions of power, weather it be a church or a nation, and the cowed masses will do what they are told, believe what they are told, fight for what they are told, and die for what they are told.....by other men.

the masses are stupid. end of storie. can any of you not see how easy it will be for a single man, or a group of men ot lead God loving people donw the wrong path?

we are bombbarded in our government and even our religious worships with the messages of....men. need to wake up people. this country was founded on freedom. your freedoms are slowly being striped away from you by the convictions of a group of...men.

you have the FREEDOM to not have an abortion if you choose not to. you DO NOT have the FREEDOM to take that FREEDOM away from someone who does not subscribe to your personel convictions.

but keep listening to the words of men. the men with the most money will deliver the most wide spread message. they only need 51 percent of you idiots to say...."a men".

controlling the masses. the moral majority working for you.

Ya know, I don't get the chance to say this often, but Shadow's right about something.

That doesn't stop him from being a generally annoying PITA though.

Send her that trick program that repeatedly opens the cd-drive. Title it "Run me or go to Hell: Important info on Gay Marriage". I think that would make her day.

Seriously, that kind of mail was the in thing to do 10 years ago, right? People get so behind the times.

From a Christian prospective, I think she may need a few verses of inspiration herself...

Genisis 2:24 - "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Lets see if she could handle that one any time soon. ;)

i really need to pony up for premium.

You do not have the FREEDOM to kill an unborn child.
---------------------------------------------

what child?

is it a chils when it is born?
is it a child when it can survive on its own outside of the womb?
is it a child when it is concieved?

you do not have the FREEDOM to decide for the rest of us when a child is actually a child.

and untill someone can definitivly say when an egg and a sperm are actually a person, abortion is not murder.

i respect your convictions. i share them. i am opposed to abortion. but i am more opposed to allowing personel convictions to be FORCED on anyone who does not share them.

God wants us to CHOOSE to follow him. not be FORCED to march at his side. making a sin illegal does not save anyone. choosing not to sin does.

i CHOOSE to not be a party to abortion. but i will not tell someone else how they should live, just as i would fight anyone who wanted to force me to live as THEY saw fit.

i am against abortion, but i would fight for the right to choose. choice is what God wants for us. not forced complaince.

But the government can set a deffinition for when a child is a person. Thats what the debate hinges on, right? We can vote on that.

The government defines things every day[slight exaggeration], rewritting deffinitions if it needs to, according to the majority will of its people. Or to protect a minority. Look at same-sex marriage. Had to rewrite the deffinition slightly.

That was, I'll grant, an instance of increasing freedom. What about increasing the freedoms for the child, like to live.

I also think personal responsibility plays into it at some point, but that is a debate for another day.

you could always move to mass where we already have gay marriages as legal. So far Im not seeing it affecting anyone except the catholic church schools sending out notices with the students telling their parents they better sign a petition to ban it, and some guy randomly walking around central mass trying to get people to sign a petition against gay marriages, lying about what it is, then spitting on people if they decline.

I see it greatly affecting people. Christian spit is being wasted on passers-by, instead of being used to digest their food, as God intended! These people are condemning themselves to aych-ee-double hockey sticks, and rightfully so.

maybe them Catholics should have a sermon about the virtues of swallowing instead of spitting?

But, none of the other commandments contradict this one
