What flavor? Because that's very important. I don't do green.

I'm definitly wanting to go. Notice the use of the word wanting. The only two things that would stop me is not getting those days off and $$$ of course.

We could aim to book at the same hotel and pinch in to rent a minivan, that should help with the cost of going over there.

If you took less time trying to fit multiple instances of the word '***' into your comment, and more time actually reading...you would discover that not only is this a cross site forum, but the thread title contains two key words that apply perfectly to me: Boston and Allakhazam.

I think Katie is secretly in love with me, yet is trying to cover it up with insults the way kids do in second grade. Admit it, you want me to spank you, you sassy sassy thang.

Katie dear, do you talk like that in the sack? Please say yes because that's how I imagine you when I spank it to your avatars. Smiley: inlove Fiesty mexican girlz are hawt!!1!

Aboot this BBQ now, if that goes through should I bring something? I'm a fabulous cook. Even though my food doesn't usually taste or look that good, I'm actually quite skilled at preparing it. Also, should we expect entertainment in the form of your Hubby's band or your kiddie dancing for nickels? *crosses fingers*

P.S. I really do make a fantastic Baumkuchken, albeit adapted to more modern technology.

errrm, I could ask the band to play, but Im not sure how that would work being outside. I'll chat them up about it if there's enough interest. As for my son, he'll probably entertain you by slaying you as he wears his knight armor and goes around pretending hes a SK.

Speaking of the band, hubbys band is going on tour in a couple of weeks and is hitting a few cities I know some of you live near. here's the dates and locations for you guys. yes, shameless plug:

October 29th @ The Knitting Factory - Drop Dead Festival, NYC, NY

October 30th @ Grog & Tankard, Washington, DC

October 31st @ Goodfellas, Greensburgh, PA

November 1st @ Bottoms Up, Fort Wayne, IN

November 2nd @ Springwater, Nashville, TN

November 3rd @ 2500 Club, Detroit, MI

November 4th @ Phyllis' Musical Inn, Chicago, IL

There's more info here if anyone is interested

I'd just like to take this time to point out that some prostate pilot(s) is/are rating Katie down for flaming, thereby forcing me to do the one thing I've been avoiding like the plague since it became fashionable.

I hate mysellf for being reactionary, but not as much as I hate you for forcing my hand. Smiley: mad

Um, I just checked out the site and listened to some tunes. I now have the overwhelming urge to laugh in a very high pitch and scream "Wipe OUT!!!!". Take that as you will.

Morbid surf music...interesting genre. At least it hits the mark to a layman such as myself, I got that surfer feel when listening. I think I was just expecting something a little more thrash after seeing them dressed up as dead people.

So does your hubby actually have to work a 9-5 or does he get away with being a musician? Aside from the exhausting tour dates and sleepless nights full of groupie sluts, I'd imagine it's a great lifestyle if you can pull it off.

The exciting world of server updates, TSQL programming, and tech support doesn't exactly drive the ladies wild. Although you'd be surprised what the hunnies in Accounting would do for access to Internet Radio. Smiley: wink

he works a 9-5 and the band is more for fun for him. Playing out is not as much fun as youd think when you have a 9-5 and a fam. He likes actually gettin gup on stage and playing, but moving the gear and driving all around sucks. I used to travel with them before our son was born and you have to really love what youre doing to truly enjoy the whole picture.

Wow des, I actually saw them at O'Brien's back in may.

Kinda reminded me of Tiger Army.

Was a good time ^^

funny you saw them. That must have been their cd release party and I was actually there that night. They're fun to watch on stage. If you remember at all who they were, Kemper is Mr. DSD.

I don't unfortunatly. A lot of alcohal consumed that night, and as a former stoner my memory is not what it used to be.

But I did have a good time that night.

I try to catch as many bands as possible playing in my neighborhood. O'Brien's is literally, 4 blocks from my apartment.
