Yeah, it's a new thread, but it's more exciting.

Edit: It's looking more and more like May, which I don't mind since the weather will be alot nicer and maybe more people will come since college classes will be done.

Who's in, who's tentatively in, and when works for most people. April, May? Are there folks who will pretty definitely come but can't on one particular weekend in there because there's a wedding, graduation, WWE match?

DSD, I'm going to need your help with this since you're as close to local as we have I think. Is there anyone else who actually lives close to Boston?

Agenda will include dinner, drinks, and dancing so far. Hopefully breakfast and tearful goodbyes as well, hehe. Also possible: A bbq at DSD's house.

Seriously? That's quite a ways for you isn't it (or maybe I'm just senile)? Maybe we can convince a few others from further away to come. I think Nobby said he'd come and you don't get much further than that.

I'm such a geek, planning this thing will get me through winter. Usually it's planning my garden for the spring, but it's a new house and the garden is overwhelming me. Planning a night of drinking sounds better atm.

Who would like the honor of swinging by Michigan on your way and picking me up?

I won't pay for gas or anything and I'm not real fussy on who I sleep with so you won't need to worry about any of that.

Oh, you can buy me food and drinks as well but I only drink top shelf.

Ok great, first one to PM me wins.

Seriously. Oh course, Heaven only knows what the future may bring but I'd be up to the trip all things staying the course.

No special weekend requests. Hell, I don't even know which dates ARE weekends in April 2006.

hey if we do it in May I can use it as an excuse for my bday party.

Also include, if weather permits and ppl want a drive in the countryside, a bbq at my house.

so what needs to be done? I can look up hotels if people can give me a price range.

This is the club I think would best fit everyone. Its got all types of music, good drinks, and pretty easy on your wallet.

Ok, how about looking into hotels that are around that club (walking distance..save cab money) that are hopefully under $100 a night. Maybe that's wishful thinking. If the hotel has a lounge, that would be a bonus for those of us who just want to sit around and talk and have a few drinks. Hopefully there are some restaurants right around there as well.

Thoughts?

Hotels in Boston are insanely expensive. The closest I found to $100 was $140 for a twin. However, if you're looking for places walking distance, and you want to taste a touch of opulence (even better if you guys are going to be sharing rooms at al) here are couple under a mile of the club and you're right in the heart of Boston proper. Also I only checked their homepages so you guys should be able to find some decent deals if you search around expedia and stuff.

Commonwealth Courthouse - Couldnt find a website for this one but this was the cheapest one I found

Sheraton

Eliot

Westin Copely - Only place Ive actually stayed and very very nice

Hotel 140

these are the closest that have availability on May 13 that are close to Boylston st. I have a friend who lives in Boston so I'll ask her if she know of any other hotels shed recomend for cheap

Thanks DSD. I guess if I have 7+ months to save up, I can swing a more expensive hotel, haha.

My only real need is for parking. I hate staying someplace without parking.

all places there should have parking garages. Hell they're expensive enough they damn well better.

If however they dont, the Prudential is a walk away and I KNOW they have lots of parking there. SO either way youre fine. When I drive out to meet you guys thats where I'll be parking becaue I cant paralell park for the life of me.

Joph only ones like those I know are in Canada. I havent come across any vibrating bed motels with heart shaped jacuzzis in this area yet sadly

I would consider going if you asylum folk weren't so clicky and negative towards outsiders. I feel like if I went, I'd be in the corner drinking Vodka tonics by my lonesome and if I tried to talk to any of you, you would start yelling "Rate downz for j00!" and I would be sad, because you'd be rating down my self esteem.

You guys kinda remind me of fatel airbourne diseases. I know you're out there, but I would never have to worry about you unless I put myself in a position to.

If you were to sit in a corner all night, it wouldn't be because you are an outsider, but more likely because you don't exactly sound like a barrel of laughs. Besides, anyone is welcome here, they just need to stand up for themselves and not let the grouchy old men here get to them. Having self esteem issues like you have would make that difficult.

It's too bad, you clearly have an active imagination and that always comes in handy here :)
