I'd prefer to have something around MD, where I live, but by that point I should have the disposable cash again to fly somewhere, or drive if it's not too hideously far away.

I've driven to boston from MD before, it really sucked... getting lost on the way back and having my car break down and getting lost in boston itself and getting a $200 speeding ticket might have been the reason though. Plus I have XM radio now.

Though if you could get us a round of drinks on the expense account, that'd be okay by me

That means I'll have to fix the site if it's down on the trip!

The best I can do is say it's a work related expense on my taxes.

Your driving can't be as bad as some of the people in my family, driving.

My mom once hit a toll booth, on the NJ Turnpike.

I refuse to drive anymore, knowing now I'm always under the influenace of some drug. All legal of course.

Well, that's a dealbreaker, dammit! =P Seriously, not sure if I could make it up to Boston in the Spring, but never say never...

In the meantime, for those Marylanders and nearby - maybe we could do another Fall get together, again in Columbia or Baltimore. I'd prefer Baltimore for a change of pace and it's closer to me than Columbia (might be a fun change of pace). What can I say? I'm a lazy *******...

Hmm, Boston is a good 800 miles away. A little too far east for my wallet. How about Niagra? Lowest Karma poster that shows up has to go over the falls in a barrel?

I am poorer then both of you.

But then I have no dependants to feed and clothe anymore. Fix income sucked when you have a teenager, so I celebrated the day my youngest turned 18 and was living with her sister.

Though I've a sucker for cute outfits and toys for the grandkids

We'll have our own get together.

We can keep in the jello tradition, and make a jello statue of Jophiel and put it on the couch in your mom's basement! It'll be great!

If it's in Niagara, includes at least 1 allafemme and is 18+, I'm there.

Depending on timing, Boston in Spring could work.

Advanced warnings are that I'm fertile at 15 paces, rink like a chimney and smoke like a fish, and my dance-moves are limited to Irish folk dancing from the waist up.

Yes, set in stone! I already have to drive over four hours to get to Boston, I'm not going further than that to stay one night :)

What's a NF?

In! Plane tickets are no problem, and I can schedule hotels for everyone at a greatly discounted rate. The only snag I can see is...

One of you has to convince my wife.

NF = Niagara Falls

I have officially consulted a map and see that you would be travelling south to get to Boston, and yes, Niagara Falls is quite the ways west for you. Smiley: cry

It seems that from Boston you would follow I495 to I90 to get here.
If I didn't suffer from Americanophobia, I might cross the river and join you guys.

I just got the girls from playgroup to leave (freaking leeches they are) and I havent had time to read everything. But I saw someone asked for 80's and dance music.

There is a club in Boston by the gardens called the Big Easy. One of my favorite places to go when clubbing in Boston. They play all 80's 90's and todays music, plus sometimes they have cover bands that have so far played exceptionally well. Cover is $8 for upstairs, downstairs is all rap and its $10 to get into both. At least it was 2 months ago last time I went.

As for swimming suits and stuff, you cant get away with those anyways up here in April or May. Plus you're not going to gett me in one of those anyways.

April or May work well for me. However I may not be able to join in the drinking if all goes well for my family. We're trying for kid #2 so I can be designated driver if there's a call for one.

There's plenty of good places to eat in Boston too, all accessable by the subway or by taxi. Great seafood.

I live an hour away from Boston and sadly I only have one couch and no guest rooms so crashing at my house is not the best ideal. However, if the weathers warm enough, and if anyone rents a car, we could always have a bbq here. Mr. DSD makes killer bbq chicken.
