Job perk case in point:

I have been here for 90 minutes this morning playing OGame and posting, and I think I might start to consider now opening my e-mail for the first time.

Go me.

I've negotiated to remain in an hourly postition. I make about 5-10k extra a year for working as much as I would if I was salary. I come in when I want, leave when I want. The benefits suck, my boss is probably the nicest guy in the world.

Smiley: lol

It usually takes me a good hour of checking emails, posting, etc before I get around to that.

Job 1- Kisses and hugs whenever I want. Cuddles on the couch while watching a movie and sharing popcorn. Home made art. Excersise = tag, hide and seek, ponyrides, hiking in the woods and other fun ways to pretend you're not working out. Sticky hands wrapped around my neck. Playing around on the computer when I have a moment of free time.

Job 2 -Hair cuts, colors, etc for free. I get to come in and leave whenever I dont have clients. If I need a day off for family or some event it is never an issue. Vacation whenever I want it. None of it is paid though.

Being your own boss rocks. However, with the freedom of being able to take time off when you need it comes the knowledge that if you dont work you dont get paid. So responsibility kicks in more often than I wished.

Job 1: I get 50% or wholesale, whichever is cheaper, off jewelry we sell. Comes in really handy during Xmas or for birthdays.

Job 2: I don't have to buy FFXI expansions. ^_^

I sit at a computer all day and draw. It is quite boring, but it nets me a paycheack each week so I cannot complain.

I work at an animal shelter on the weekends. Full time student, not much in the real job department that I can take and still get the grades I manage now.

Perks? Lots of work, no pay, working with morons all day. I've exposed my two cats and two dogs to about 5 different diseases that they haven't had shots for... most recent being feline distemper! Oh, it also costs about $15 a week driving back and forth.... I almost forget why I'm doing this.

You should install EQ on the work computer. You'd be 65 in no time!

My main perk is doing a job I love; seeing people get out of very deep shit and feel I played some small part.

But of course, there's
  • the fat pay-check,
  • the car,

  • acccess to corridors of power,
  • paid research & study time at some of the best universities in the world
  • meeting some fascinating people who live lives I'll never lead,

  • paid international travel
  • getting to play with cutting edge technology
  • and there's regular interaction with impressionable young nursies!

  • I've already spewed on here about the bad parts, but hey, the glass was designed with 100% excess capacity!

It seems I have WAY too many bosses and at least two hate me. Smiley: tongue

One pays moderately well, the other, well, blah, just enough to put gas in my car... but I still get cut-off notices, can't figure that one out. Oh yeah see first sentence ROFL I also bartend when I can and some paralegal work on the side. Oh and I build and repair computers. See too many jobs = too many bosses.

Bartending: usually free drinks and great tips (I wear tight low cut tops) and I almost always get paid cash anyway. Computer stuffs, well usually it is in trade for automotive work, lawnmowing, or babysitting.

Mostly, I get to get paid to play MMOG's, I can do one job at the other, and will even be able to finish college cause I will be able to do my homework here too. I can post on Alla's as well. Oh yeah and I get free bermuda grass at the end of the season. Smiley: lol

Biggest perk of any job, I got to go to Vegas last weekend for free.

No ins, no paid holidays, no vacations... but I have jobs!!!

Besides the totaly lakc of jobsecurity, uncertaintity of when i will get a paycheck, and the competition, i really do love acting. I wouldn't trade my job for nay other in the world.

I love acting, it allows me the freedom to choose when and where i work, to an extent, and it comes very naturally to me. I always have alot of fun doing what i do. I guess the perks would be the people you can meet, things you can do. The job itself is really a perk for me. In love with my SO and job at the same time. Course she earns about 3 times as much as i do...

Well, when I'm not at school, I work as a banquet server/bar-back at a private golf club. This means I get free dinner every time I work, free drinks (when certain bartenders are working), and I can take up to 3 friends golfing, 18 holes, complete with cart, for $5 any time I want.

Needless to say, I shot at least 9 holes every week over the summer. My best was an 88 on a par 70 playing best ball with a friend of mine. And I got a hawt tan!

    - I get to work at home and start and finish whenever I want to.

    - I get 4 free trips home a year (or to other countries if I wish.)

    - I get to see all the movies 2 months to 1 year before they come out at the theatres.

    - I occasionally get to meet movie stars.

    - I get my apartment paid for by my company.

    - Free gym membership and a tab at the local hostess bar. LOL!
