Ok in need of some help here...Follow

Tomorrow is the Day of Festivals in my area. I am unsure though of which would be the best choice, looking for a little input.
All revolve around Beer and all are free to get into. My company also is sponsoring all three so I am pulled in three different directions:

1) Oysterfest sponsored by Guinness and Miller Lite
2) Chowderfest sponsored by Guinness Heinken & Amstel
3) Oktoberfest sponsored by Paulaner and Hacker Pschorr

1) Oysterfest
is a block party with live bands and ice cold Pints served at various locations. It is somewhat of an Irish Theme and has lots of local vendors selling their stuff. Lots of seafood also. 5 miles from my house.

2) Chowderfest is a HUGE seafood festival with limited Beer but some live music and lots of vendors. Some of the best chowder from the east coast is served here. 45 miles from my house but is worth a day trip.

3) Oktoberfest is your traditional Oktoberfest complete with German food music and TONS of frothy steins. I have been celebrating Oktoberfest now for 2 weeks at my house. Paulaner Hefe Weizen on tap and complete with German Folk Stream radio and decorated to the "T." 20 miles from my house.

It would seem unfair to celebrate Oktoberfest and skip out on a German Festival. I do love seafood and both Oysterfest and Chowderfest offer some of the best.

I could do both Oysterfest and Oktoberfest but miss out on a lot of both because of drive time. Chowderfest maybe the first to get scratched due to distance. I have a Designated Driver so that is not a problem. In terms of spending cash, they are all evenly priced. I did go to Irish Fest two weeks ago so maybe Oktoberfest is my best decision?

This is a huge time for me. I love outdoor festivals. The music the people the food and beer, the vendors and cultural thematics of each event. I really wanna make the most of tomorrow and cap off a great summer and introduce an even better fall.

If you're planning on heavy imbibing, I have the feeling Oysterfest and Chowderfest would soon become Vomitfest.

I'd go with Oysterfest if you're taking a lady, Chowderfest if not. Not a fan of Oktoberfest.

Umm hello? You would pick Miller, Amstel, and Heineken over these too?

Besides, beer + sausage/kraut > beer + seafood.

You know all the party people will be at the straight beer one anyways.

Yeah Oktoberfest is looking better and better. I am attempting to convince the Girlfriend to wear her St Pauli Girl Costume to Oktoberfest. Trying so damn hard....

Something about imbibing German beer has a way of making that OMMpahpah music sound good. I gotta agree about the vomitfest thing, chowder has a way of making your belly feel quite unpleasant and if it's rushing up the esophagus it will be squeeking out in a most unpleasant way. Stick with what you know, go Oktoberfest.

St pauli girl dress+ german beer = heaven (or a good laugh if you're drunk and wearing the dress)

My vote is with Oktoberfest. But then again, I'm not much of a seafood or chowder type of girl. Best of luck with convincing your girlfriend to wear the costume!

Oysterfest sounds good to me, but that's probably because I can experience Oktoberfest-like conditions year-round in Chicago.

maybe after the oktoberfest if you arn't holding each others hair she might try on the costume. I had a bad experience with my wife at Fiesta, the mixing of food & beverages left me cleaning my car.
