My husband and I are such Smallville junkies, that we're hoping they move on from Smallville, and make a new show called Metropolis Smiley: lol

It's been a while. I vaguely remember something about some badasses trapped inside a square thingymajig that looked like the sleeve to a Pink Floyd LP, and that's about it. *shrug* Regardless, if my boy is gonna be on, I'm probably gonna have to tune in.

the only issue I have is the drastic change from the Smallville characters. I mean if only the director of Superman Returns could've waited another season to start his movie the transition would be so much easier for 'us' the viewers, (only my opinion).

You're a bit too hung up on this idea that the movie has anything to do with the series. They are in no way related, other than they are based on Superman. Do yourself a favor and get that out of your head, or you may end up being dissappointed in the movie when it does get finished and come out.

So my question to everyone is do you think we will see Lois and Clark get married before this series is over?

I very much doubt it, since it's based on his early years. From what I remember from the comics and whatnot that didn't happen till more towards the end. Unless, I suppose, if they drag this thing out over the next 10 years. Given the WB's record with their series, I'd be suprised to see it go past season 6. And to be honest, I'm a little suprised they didn't end it last season and try selling the series to another network, like they do with nearly everything else.

In the "Louis & Clark" TV series, they weren't married until well into their 20s...can that show be used a factual evidence?

Is that before or after they explored the territory Jefferson purchased from Napoleon?

We bought it from Napolean? If I'm not mistaken, you really need to brush up on your history. All there was were a bunch of native americans here until Louis and Clark explored a lil.

You are, in fact, mistaken, and therefore you're the one who needs to brush up on history.

Lewis and Clark were commissioned to explore the territory gained in the Louisiana Purchase, which was a transaction conducted between the Jefferson administration and Napoleonic France. It may have been inhabited by the native Americans, but we bought it from the French.

Yeah, I was talking to a buddy of mine last night and he said he thought the same thing, and he's a bit of an uberdork when it comes to comics. I stand corrected.

I used to watch Static Shock and there were a couple episodes where he teamed up with the "Super Friends" and Brainiac was like, this computer program thing that took over every computer in the "Super Station" and was very evil. I assume Brainiac was corporeal at one point in time, but as a black man? Doubt it. I'd put money on the Zod fellow, even though I don't have a clue who that is...

Brainiac is an alien computer/cyborg thing.

James Marsters is not black.

Brainiac could be cool for a couple of reasons.

1) James Marsters is cool.
2) He's pseudo immortal. Killing his current form doesn't matter much, cause he's got a bunch more bodies in storage.
3) He has history with Krypton, possibly with it's destruction, cause he was there for it.
4) Kandor. It's the last remaining city of Krypton. Where is it? Brainiac shrunk it and he has it in a bottle somewhere. In the Dark Knight Strikes Again, Superman is a puppet used by the govt. (of which luther and brainiac are in charge) and when Superman pisses him off, he kills a family in the city just too **** with Supes. Brainiac is as evil as Luther will be.

Thanks for the offer, honey, but my husband has that situation well in hand.

The avatar is nice. Not quite enough to make me forget about the dentures, but close...

I can only think of one black man to play any significant role on Buffy, and that is D.B. Woodside.

He was all sorts of yummy too. But he's not my boy.

Ah, the school principal. Good find, but I was talking about Riley's friend and partner in that underground lab/military thing in the season Buffy was in college.

He looks good in that pic. On Smallville, they made him wear some freaky silver contacts, and it kinda screwed up his look.

Watched the season opener (took 2,5hrs of downloading audio codecs to hear it >.<)

I must say, good show ^^.

Brainiac is the "evil" that Jor-El was referring too.

Luther is really starting to turn bad. Him asking Clark to tell him the truth may be THE truning point in their "friendship".

My guess? Clark stays powerless till he has to lay the smack down on Brainiac.

And what is Cloe going to say to Lex about being in the Netherlands?

God I'm so geeky for this show...it's hopeless.

Downloading this as we speak, I watch the show mainly because I am a huge fan of everything Superman.

The show can in no way compare to Buffy mainly because its lacks the pool of amazing writers. It's nice to see Marsters making an appearance though I will have to say it will be weird to see him without the faked accent and Spike persona.

As to Braniac all your answers lie at wikipedia.

In a famous Cartoon Network parody, Brainiac pleads with Luthor for a "decent pair of pants", prompting Solomon Grundy to utter the now-famous reply, "Solomon Grundy want pants too!"

Can you believe that Nick Cage was up for the role of Superman in the new movie. Of course were Brendan Frasier and Ashton Kutcher but seriously Nick Cage? C'mon!

I'm so glad that didnt pan out.
