For those of you who watch Smallville, I must say that was an entertaining season premiere. I never thought they'd be bringing General Zod and his cronies into the picture. And the Fortress of Solitude is a mother-fucking Pimp Palace. You know you could get the honeys to go back to that place. Especially if it has a hot tub.

Too bad Chloe didn't die. Foiled again!

That chick bothers me.

I missed it, I was at work and my roomate taped 2hrs of static instead of Smallville.

I'll download it off of limewire later this week.

However, because of Mallrats, after saying:

You need to add a "Snoochie Boochies" at the end.

I figured it was implied.

And you might check tvguide.com for your local listings, they often show an encore of season premieres like that on the weekend sometime.

Good Lord. If any other kid in the 12th grade looked like Clark in a small town, most of the cheerleading squad would have made at least one visit to the abortion clinic two towns away by now, if not three.

OOh, more mallrats quotes.

This is impossible:

Everything on TV is true.

Um...3 visits or 3 towns away?...not that it matters

Oh, and apparently, for those who didn't see it, Clark seems to not be invulnerable anymore.

So they say. Somehow I get the feeling he'll get them back again. Call it a hunch.

I don't watch "Smallville," but I caught the last few seconds of it on my PVR when queuing up "Everwood." Lo and behold, who should I see but my boy in the black leather duster, my darling with the razor-sharp cheekbones, James Marsters, formerly of "Buffy" and "Angel".

I may have to start watching, if only for as long as he is around. Anyone want to fill me in on the context for his presence?

You know what really kills me about all of these different superman series as compared to the movies that were out back in the 80's? Is the fact that I could've sworn that the Zod trio was banished before Krypton was even destroyed. Am I wrong?

And when did Jor-El all of a sudden become the enemy?

Also they need to hurry up and sieze and desist this Lana/Clark relationship before she pops out a baby from the other guy she wound up getting with in the original Superman movies, or Clark is bound to go ********

And does anyone else here believe we will see the Clark and Lois wedding come this season, or next season? Because as rumor has it there are only gonna be 6 seasons. Also do you think the early release of next years "Superman Returns" will in anyway destroy what Smallville has been building up, I mean Kevin Sopacey as Lex, WTF!!!!

Okay now that everyone realizes I'm a Superman junkie, let the two cents from the peanut gallery be thrown. I'm prepared I'm wearing my gasoline drawers!!! ****!!! That was a punchline for a completely different joke, F*@king A!!!

Yeah. I watched Superman2 as well. The current storyarc is based pretty strongly on that film (different situations, same events).

Wait! Let me guess!!! He's going to take advantage of being a "normal person" and pursue his love for Lana. Things will be great. But then this general Zod character will start messing everything up and working to take over the world. Eventually Clark will have to decide between being a human and letting Zod rule over the earth, and taking on the responsibility of his superpowers and opposing Zod. Of course, we all know what he'll decide.

Oh. And I don't think Jor-El is "evil". I think he's testing Clark. He wants to make sure that his son cares for the humans of the world. That's why he sends him there as an infant. That's why he's continually making Clark choose between his powers and helping people. If he rewarded Clark for doing those things, there'd be no way to know if that was the true nature of his son. By punishing him for helping people and seeing if Clark continues doing it anyway, he'll know for sure. At least that's my theory. Doubt it'll ever be revealed in that way on the show.

I actually liked that choice, I think Spacey would do a great job.

I'm downloading season 4's finale (I think, bittorrent is sometimes hard to read) because I can't quite remember just what happened. Mostly I want to find out just what send Lex over the edge. I forgot over the summer.

Yeah, I kind of remember that part, but there was more to it I think.

Ah well, I just want to watch that episode again anyway.

Okay don't get me wrong I love Spacey as an actor and think he will make a great Lex, the only issue I have is the drastic change from the Smallville characters. I mean if only the director of Superman Returns could've waited another season to start his movie the transition would be so much easier for 'us' the viewers, (only my opinion).

Also I love the way the show is spinning off some great outer stories on the whole Kryptonite issues and how the rocks turn humans into different foes in Clark's childhood. I especially enjoy watching the Luthor's back story. It really is amazing how much one didn't think that far into Lex's history until now. And the fact that Luthor's father had such a dramatic role in creating Clark's arch nemesis Lex. Amazing how close the Luthor's were with Smallville's (the town's) creation. Great twist in my opinion.

I would honestly like to see an entire trilogy of Superman recreated to today's Smallville series. I would definitely pay another $80 for the set of movies in a heartbeat.

So my question to everyone is do you think we will see Lois and Clark get married before this series is over?

In the "Louis & Clark" TV series, they weren't married until well into their 20s...can that show be used a factual evidence?
#26REDACTED, Posted: Sep 30 2005 at 6:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It was the same in the animated series, IIRC
