My Girlfriend stumbled upon these articles the other day. She was extremely disturbed and was glad she could not read the one in Dutch/German/Whatever. How long can a kitten/puppy survive in the water minus a shark attack? Especially kittens. Seems they would drown within minutes.
I hope they try using their own kids as bait now.

Sharks are worth a LOT of money on the black market of seafood, especially in Asian countries. It's a delicacy in Japan I know for sure, and I've heard some parts of the shark can be deadly to eat if not cooked exactly right, so it's more or less like eating a blowfish (which they also do in Japan). It's expensive as hell, and it's risking your life.

I have had shark meat a couple times...its not that great. The meat is kinda bland, unless prepaired with a rich sauce.
What the asians like is the dorsal fin. Shark fin is supposed to be good for the wang. But they say that about rhino ***** and bear bile too. /shrug
Yeah, they should be using baby fetuses instead.

Lesser of two evils. In the public's eye a little worm getting pulled apart is better than a 10 lb puppie. Crayfish, small frogs, leeches, and minnows can live underwater. Dogs and cats can not.

That's partly why I prefer to fish with kittens. They are lighter, and do not try to swim as long as the puppies do. That and I consider it penance for all the *************
