He seems to know his stuff, he's intelligent and the most anyone can do is hope he sincerely attempts to do his job well and without bias.

As Twiz said, it's not as if it wasn't a foregone conclusion.

How long were you at the CNN site hitting refresh waiting for this?

Small pointer. If you want to play "News Break!", asying discuss doesn't do a fucking thing. You discuss it bitch, its your thread.

I’m curious as to how his first controversial case will go. I am, however, not surprised he was confirmed as chief justice.

Yep, not suprising, and the world didnt end so i guess i lost a few bets, but i guess the question this now points to is who will be the next justice nominee? Everyone seems to be pointing towards a minority or woman, but none have really shown up yet as primary canidates.

Personally I can't wait to see his and the other old justices faces when Anna Nicole Smith shows up in January to try and get some of her "inheritance".

Should make for some good Court TV if she wears some crazy outfits.

Fantastic, we didn't need pesky 'right to privacy' laws anyway, and women surely didn't want any rights also.

Ah well, guess its just one more notch for this administration.

Smiley: cry

Rehnquist was a pubbie. Roberts is a pubbie. The GOP just made a substitution. The key is going to be who they replace O'Conner with.
