With the latest expansion, you can go to an NPC in PoK and get a shroud. It's basicly an archtype character with a mob graphic. Such as "kobold cleric" which is a kobold (naturally) with a single Heal spell, a short duration buff (no selling shroud buffs in PoK.. heh), a DD, a DoT and a remove curse. That's about it. The wizard archtype has three different nukes and that's about it. You can select one of any level from 5+ in increments of five and up to your current level, so if you're lvl 65.

The shrouds are no where near as flexible as a real character class but they can help plug holes or allow high levels to play with low level friends.

I rolled a shammy last night, got him to 4 or 5. I got a 68 pally I could transfer, but I doubt I will unless I get majorly hooked again. I also got a 64 shammy but I don't think SOE would let me move him. He's been changed hands too many times.
