Apparently it's only a seven day trial now.
This is going to be pretty crazy if I like it and decide to get into it. I've never played EQ before, and I'm playing WoW, PSOBB, and CoH.
Probably cancel WoW if I get into EQ. (Rarely ever play it and they hold your character forever I believe).

So I think I've settled on my necro Katnia. I love having a pet that kicks ***.
I've actually got two characters on that server. They were on MR originally; a pally and a shaman. They used to be in AS a long time ago. I may play them some. But if I end up sticking with this game, I might just cough up the $75 and move a couple of toons. I miss my old cleric.

that is the wierdest thing, it didnt ask me for a code.
I downloaded game, patched it then set up a SOE account. Went to log on and it keeps asking for cd key.

Bhodi, I think the others already had active accounts at one time, so didn't need the cd key (SOE assumes they bought a cd at some point).

Actually, I looked up where the whole Mac the Knife thing came from since I knew it didn't start with Mr. Darrin, read the Opera, learned that Ms. Tawdry was a thief/prostitute in the story and nicked the name for my character. There's not much in the song to say "Use this name for your rogue!"

That would explain why I didn't have to fill out any account info, it let me right in. I logged in on my old main, who was parked in the Bazaar, and promptly got completely lost. They sure changed that zone around.
I started a toon on Povar shortly after, the tutorial is quite different too from what I remember. I had to get used to the keys and whatnot all over again. I guess I was too used to playing WoW and first person shooters. I think I saw a couple of you fools last night, but I'm playing it on the down-low right now. Kinda scoping things out.
Some people are like slinkies, they aren't really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
Aside from the horrible new Kobold models, I really like the new tutorial. The missions are fun and the rewards are great!
