What's the monthly fee for EQ? How does it play? Is it even worth getting? Do I need to mortgage my life to get anywhere?

Oh the questions!

I'll try and get a char going either tonight or tomorrow. As long as it's not taken, I'll be under the name Meiune

About $15 a month

How does it play?

Better than any other MMORPG currently out there

It's managed to keep my interest for 3 years

I've been playing for 3 years and my main is only level 63. Others are 70 in a few months. Like most things in life you get out of it what you put into it.

14.95 /month also tier'd pricing for longer time periods

Similiar to most MMORPG's, but with some more complexities in some areas. You have a race and class (whcih can't be changed). You fight mob's for XP and loot. There are quests available, but there is no quest screen that keeps track of where your are.

Depends on where you want to get. To be able to play with the Audes, no. If you want to get to the endgame, be prepared to spend LOTS of time.

Ok...patched. Now, what does this little Alla group need? I have experience playing Paladin, Mage, and Shadowknight.

If you liked the paladin/SK then another tank would be nice. Otherwise, play whatever blows your skirt up.

I know. That's why I'm planning on hitting the LDoN style dungeons hard for the mid levels, until we get up to raiding age.

Starting all over again is gonna be rough.... but we can make it.

Of course, failing that I'll just uproot some well-geared 70s and bring them over from Inny/Nameless.

Okay! I'll be the poor soul who just lost her corpse, and DSD can be the "lonely" teenager.

When you get a chance, stop by www.audesapereguild.com, make a guild portal account, and post in our Knowledge Seekers forum.

That way we know which guild portal name belongs to who and which toon names to look up in game.

Well this sucks. I made a wood elf druid and I was already booted out of EQ. But my character is still there. I think Povar may be telling me something Smiley: dubious

I have no clue how you people can play that game. Every time I see it, it reminds me of playing Wizardry.

Would you say getting d/c'd is a regular occurance in EQ?

Ack, since Jonwin is looking for anyway to get me to play eq with him, I may just load up the game later this evening and create myself another woodelf druid. When Jonwin get's his computer back, I'll have him start character on Provar too.

As long as he been using my account, to 2 box, I may as well use it.

Not sure how long eq will keep my interest though. I get boared easily these days.

Normally, no.

The game has been a smidge unstable since the recent expansion a little under two weeks ago. Won't be long and it will return to normal.
