I really liked Resident Evil: Apocalypse. But what I've heard on the internet is that I'm basicaly the only one lol. I guess most fans of the video games didn't like it, so right now I'm looking for them. So just wanted to discuss the movie and stuff.

Awesome stunts, just awesome! Jill, HOT! Alice well... She's just Alice... The plot is great and it kept my attention the entire time!

And I was expecting a thread telling me I'd been left behind after the rapture.

Darn.

They screwed up Jill Valentine's hair color. They acted all proud in the 'special features' on the DVD that they got her outfit dead on but then the fuck up something as basic as her hair color.

Aside from that, you wouldn't think it was possible to make a movie about scantily clad chicks, zombies and explosions not worth watching but... yeah.

Ya, it was as simple as picking up a fricken bottle of hair dye.

I enjoyed the movie. Probably because I'm not a fan of FPS games and haven't played one for 10 consecutive minutes since the original Doom, so I was able to take the movie at face value with no prejudice.

It couldn't have anything to do with my taste.

I'll put it this way: every now and then you simply need a fill of Zombie Lovin'. The movies will generally always receive a bad rap, which is okay, you're only going to see the movie for the zombies and the spookyness of the concepts. ***** the plot/story line, those are secondary.

For about a month after I saw it, I was obsessed with Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine. Case in point: your avatar. Otherwise, it was mostly forgettable.

The remake of Dawn of the Dead... now that was one of the best zombie movies I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. It was creepy for a little while, and then just turned into a laugh riot. Just a great comedy.

It was cheesy while trying to be cool.

I give it a C-

Actually RE isnt a first person shooter, it is a survival horror game. The game play is quite different between the. One of the biggest is horror survival tries to make it look like you are watching from out side, while first person shooters try to make it look like everything is happening to you.

As far as RE: apocalypse, it was worth watching and was much better then the first one. Though I wouldnt spend money to by the dvd.

The only RE game I've played through (as opposed to a couple times at a friend's) was Nemesis. So it was annoying to watch Jill play second fiddle to Alice throughout the movie based off of her game.

Plus they screwed up the hair color

The box appealed to me little enough that I classified it in my mind as a another crap FPS when I looked at it on the shelf.

The whole horror genre doesn't appeal at all as a game to me. As a movie, sure. As a game, nah. I just don't bear the baddies enough antipathy to be wantin to kill em, I guess. Heck, the best part of a horror flick is when the monsters are havin their way with people left and right, making bloody messes all over, then some hero steps in and ruins the good times.
