Should I feel guilty?Follow

The only damage to my house was a small hole on the edge of the roof in which the tree didn't even breach the house, we were able to obtain a generator early because one of my dad's friends owned the local Lowe's, then we had power back only a week and a half after the storm, then tv a week later, and now the internet (though I have to use one of those accursed AOL discs...).

Which isn't to say I've been sitting on my *** this whole time. I've been helping my neighbor (their case is especially bad, one tree went through their roof like a piece of paper early in the storm, raining into his house, warping his wood floors and such) remove the moldy carpeting to his house.

So, should I feel guilty about getting off easy? =(

No, but I hope you didn't take the boards off the windows yet. Here comes another one.

Nope.

You got off easy, true. But you're helping others, what more could someone expect?

Didn't you post your experience with Katrina already?

Are you still trolling for sympathy?

It didn't work last time either did it?

And if I own no pets, could I wing it with something else?

Hmmmmmmmm

Well? Which was it? Water or paper?

Edit: No, don't feel guilty. Feel relieved.

Pity for my situation should go to more deserving people, I simply posted my experience thus far with those two posts, and this one is simply what's been running through my mind the last couple days.

edit~Tonmaitre, I was lazy and didn't bother looking up my last post, but I think you get the idea of how easily it went through, like an axe through cardbo-hmm....

What isn't darker than chalk?

Also, "parents"? What if I have to drive for an hour to grab the other one?
