You know, when you leave the country for a few days and you decide to go shopping. (Well maybe this will relate to Canadians the strongest but who knows.) You buy a few hundred dollars worth of stuff, a shirt for that special SO in your life and a wicked novelty hat. As you're leaving and having to fill out customs form it asks "What are you bringing? What is the price of all this?" You realize, *********** I'm way over the limit for a three day trip." You lie and always get away with it...

Except yesterday, when, for the first time I've ever witnessed they searched everybodys bags at customs. 4 extra hours into the night and now my name is redflagged. Travelling sucks.

Disclaimer: I really bought some Lacoste shoes and a Helly Hansen sweater; both expensive items. But hey, the football game was fun!

Seahawks and Falcons. I flew out just for the game but found the time for a round of golf and some shopping. About 5 seahawks fans were kicked out because of verbal bashing towards the Vick fans. I wasn't REALLY cheering for anybody because my team is the Rams but I have to admit I was leaning towards Vick and friends.

Luckily for me the limit of alchohol you can bring into the country from Cancun Mexico is pretty high.

Yay for honeymoons.

Returning from France, I filled out my customs form like a good li'l American and noted my $3.20 over-charge or penalty or tax or whatever it was. The customs guy looked it over, rolled his eyes, fudged the numbers to zero and waved me through. I guess Uncle Sam didn't want three bucks worth of paperwork.

Last time I left the country I brought back about 3x the limit of alcohol. Filled out the forms, turned em in, they just waved me along.

Then I had a nice long drive from Miami to home and that euphoria lasted about 10 minutes of it.
