Why was he running from the cops? Is he mad he was run over or is he mad he was caught running from the cops? Would he rather they had shot him? Which is worse? Limp or death?

If you watch the video it explains that the 15yo black kid saw 2 white men chasing him. Unmarked car, plain-clothes cops.

In that part of town, black kids don't stand around to be caught if white guys chase 'em.

Of course everywhere else in England we live in castles and ride horses by streams in-between taking tea on the lawn and kissing the queen's ring.

Should we only send white cops to white neighbor hoods? This came out all wrong.. Should the police only patrol neighborhoods of their ethinicity?

Well, the issue is that he was running from white under cover cops in a neighborhood that it would usually be a good idea to run from 2 white men, right? So, what I'm asking is, how do you go about continuing undercover police operations in an area where there seems to be much racial inequality? If you cant send white undercover cops in to an area without having the most of the community run from them, do you only send in black cops to that neighborhood? Do you segragate portions of your town with only black cops here, only asian cops there, white cops here to make the community more at ease?

See, here in the US, in certain areas you dont stop even if they say police and have a flashing light in an unmarked car. I'd have wanted to make it to a more public place with many more people before I stopped to talk to the "cops" if I had even the slightest worry that they may not be cops. If its common for white men to harm black men/women what not in that neighborhood, even with them saying "stop cops" is that enough reason for the boy to stop?

So your saying the cop had every right to run the kid over? I agree'd with this position until you told me about the neighborhood and the apparent racial history. I believe there were factors beyond the boy or the cops control that aggravated this situation.
