1. Things that would have been considered normal "playing doctor" type of stuff when we were kids (I'm 37) has been redefined as sexual assault.

Not trying to make light of the subject. But, do you think it was sexual assault or kids playing doctor? Kids get curious at a young age and sometimes play the game of, I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

Yea, but she decided afterwards it was a mistake. But seriously combine that with "naughty places" and "bad touch" and yea. Plus its been shown that kids sometimes make that crap up. Sometimes. Or exaggerate. Adults often don't listen to kids too, and blow things way out of proportion.

Heh.. my father was probably too busy doing whatever my grandfather demanded then thinking about sex. Else he'd get the belt.
Comparing my father to my grandfather.. well If my grandfather ever saw how my father raised us he'd probably whack my father over the head and then proceed to pull the belt on me and my siblings.
So I can't really be surprised when this stuff happens. Kids get away with alot more nowadays. Seeing as how if you even tap your child CPS comes running in to snatch them up.

I would assume that 1 or both of the 6 year old boys were sexually abused themselves. It's highly unlikely that they came from perfect balanced homes and just one day decided they needed to kidnap a little girl and assualt her, 1st degree no less.
Obviously, what they did was wrong but they may very well be victims themselves
