So it only took the government growing in size to the largest its ever been and spending more money than ever for it to run at peak efficency! And you "small government" Pubbies laughed at the idea you claim the Democrats have been foolishly chasing for years...
Of course, now that the government is running at peak efficency and there's not a dollar left to be trimmed, the only way to combat inflation and the like will be through tax hikes. Bush isn't going to like that, no sirree, Bob.
