Don't ask George.

BBC News wrote:
Bush to lead inquiry into Katrina

US President George W Bush says he will lead an investigation into how the Hurricane Katrina disaster was handled.

"I'm going to find out over time what went right and what went wrong," he said in reply to criticism that the authorities were too slow to respond.
Neat.

So if you are accused of fucking up big time, who better to investigate it than. . . . you?

Will people really swallow this?

Some won't but they will be called partisan or the liberal media. The rest will hear Bush's reasoning for why he should head the inquiry ad nauseam, over and over until they just roll over and accept it.

They won't question why there wasnt an organized and clear disaster plan in place even after all the time Bush has claimed that he was organizing disaster plans and emergency response for the "inevitable" emergency of another Terrorist attack.

/nod

people of both political sides are mad now, but Americans have ADD. Give it 6 weeks and those who have been licking Bushes boots for the past 5 years will slowly forget the people who died because relief efforts were delayed due to the govt messing up big time and those who dont forget will be labeled as bleeding liberals.

However, I have been noticing in my area that many who supported Bush are starting to mutter. I'm not going to hold my breath that they will remember for long, but its a start for now

Its frustrating because each individual thing is forgotten, explained away or they just plain hide behind beaucracy. They play on Americas dwindling attention span.

The US went to war to protect itself from a threat. The 9/11 commission found that Iraq had nothing to do with the sept terrorists attacks and evidence showed that the claims of WMD were wrong. Okay so maybe we didnt go to protect ourselves. We did it to free and liberate the Iraqi people from a brutal regime. Wait the people want the US out and there is a massive resistance. We must stay the course, we must support our troops, we must do whatever it takes to keep you from questioning the complete fuck up you have got yourselves into.

The ever changing reasoning and justification behind the war in Iraq is just another example of how they play the game. Give a reason or excuse that people will buy into. If over time that reason is proved wrong or comes into question just jump to a new one and ignore any questions about the previous because people want to believe and they have the memory of a 8 year old after snorting pixie sticks and over dosing on chocolate covered sugar bombs.

Not unless you vote for GW, Kelvy!

If you don't vote GW the terrorist hiding under the bed will get you. Vote Bush and you will get all the chocolate frosted sugar bombs you want. Just don't expect health care to take care of you when you get diabetes and become a burden on society.

Nah they give em away for free at first then jack up the price. Then belittle him for being overweight and chronically ill. Its a viscious love hate relationship that is in a downward spiral which will ultimately result in the second fall of the Rome.

Already, people around DC are grumbling about having to take in MORE homeless people from another state.
second civil war? Smiley: grin

Either that or... maybe the poor people that are being transported all over the country will finally get fed up and start their own revolts..

OR... maybe they'll all be carrying some horrible diseases and spread it all over theh country... starting another "The Plague"...

...oh .. I'm such a day-dreamer

hmm.. didn't Rome start using all of it's growing population of poor and persecuted Germans in it's armies....right before they fell? Aren't we using our growing poplation of poor and persecuted Blacks right now? hmmmm
