OK. The Big Easy can relax. I know your families are missing or dead or looting or damp, but. . .

The Queen says 'Hi'

So there ya go. Some over-priveliged bint with a metal disco-ball hat and 150 houses sends huggles.

My missing family's been looting the damp dead.

Well someone's got to clean 'em up, my friends
Bodies on the highway; law and order upside down
Someone's got to collect their odds and ends
As a service to the town!

On q104.3 Today this is what I heard:

"It is being called Americas Tsunami..." [in regards to New Orleans]

Not sure why but something about that rubs me in an itchy and uncomfortable way.

That seems kinda a far cry from 150k dead in Indonesia and an entire country destroyed.

I read a quote ealier, from the Mississippi governor of all people:

Gov. Haley Barbour wrote:
"I can only imagine that this is what Hiroshima looked like 60 years ago," said Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (search) after touring the destruction by air Tuesday.

Now, forgive me for being young and not knowing better, but the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima wasn't a giant water balloon, was it?

While you’re at it, make sure it's stocked with good micro brew American beer and whiskey.

Almost forgot, NO SOCCER ON THE BIG SCREEN!

If anything can ease the pain and sorrow moreso than the Queen saying hi, it's knowing that God's own emissary on Earth has us in her prayers.

The Associated Press, not having enough to write about, wrote:
Britney Spears Prays for Hurricane Victims

NEW YORK -- Britney Spears, who was raised in Kentwood, La., says she is praying for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In a posting on her Web site, the 23-year-old pop star writes that her "thoughts and prayers go out to everyone" in the states along the devastated Gulf Coast.

"All of my family members there are safe and thank you to all my fans for your concern," says Spears.

Oh dear sweet baby Jeebus and all the Angels.

What next?

Message of support from Al-Zakarwi?

Charity single by Michael Jackson and R Kelly? "Save the Children (for me)"?

On a side note, I bet Kev Costner's pissed that he didn't wait 'til this year to shoot "Waterworld". He'd have saved a fucking packet!

No, a message of support from the Assylum, of course. Anyone want to start one?
