there was a thread here recently started by that **** varrus, celebrating how the cops in the UK shoot first and ask questions later, in relation to the Brazilian commuter who was murdered, on suspicion of being a suicide bomber.

I was wondering if he would like to retract his statements concerning how great the police are now that they have been shown to have been soooo wrong, and then been shown to have lied to cover their own ******

and while he's at it, take a moment to think about what else he might want to reconsider,concerning his knee jerk reactions are to the world around him, and the bile that he regurgitates in the form of opinion that he selectively harvests from his right-wing news/blog sites.....

Interesting. Not much comment from me on it though since the only reports I recall reading where those of witnesses and not actual quotes from the police. Maybe the police lied but I'm not in position to say.

My sister's bank was recently robbed by a man who was described by up to seven eyewitnesses as black, one as hispanic, three as 6', five others as 6'4", and his clothing supposedly varied from a blue workman's shirt and pants to jeans and a yellow shirt. He was black, about 6'2", and he was wearing a tie and dress pants, plus a baseball cap, which NO ONE remembered. A bank full of employees and customers, and not one gave an accurate description.

Suffice it to say I believe the photograph of his corpse in a light jean jacket over the witness accounts of his bulky winter coat. Chances are it's all shaky.

well, honestly, i dont think varrus needs to retract anything.

fear does bad things to good people. if that cop had NOT shot him, and he did blow up a train, how many people here would be screaming for his head ANYWAY. he was damned if he did, and damned if he didnt. just like soldiers who open fire on a car full of people. dammned if the are innocent, dammed if he lets them go and they are killers.

the cop had to make a judgement call. sprinkle in some fear, dust it with a bit of nationalism, and viola, a killing waiting for some inocent fool to walk in to.

unless any one of you wants to be the person standing between potential killers and the public, and be forced to make the decision he made 100 times a day, knowing he will be hung out to dry for one mistake.........no one has any right to say a damn thing against this poor schmuck.

he did his job as well as any other average person could have. hind sight is 20/20. it is easy to say i would have doen this, or i would have done that when you already know the results. its another whole ball game to look at a few thousand people a day, KNOWING one of them is a potential killer, and be right even HALF the time.

thats why 30 to 40 thousand totally innocent human beings have been butchered so far in iraq. wouldnt want to have to explain that to Peter at judgement time. better to be wrong and dead, than loose eternity for the blink of an eye we are on this world.

but fear makes you do stupid things. thats why Bush used it during his election campaign to get elected.

Clipping someone from 12 inches away doesnt seem like a rational well thought out decision, more like a total brainless panic reaction.

Maybe the cop can be nailed for wasting police resources. Since US army with its demand is driving up the price for bullets.
