No, the regular version, we kept selling enough to justify playing it for that long.

Whooosh.

Isn't the director's cut about a year and a half long?

Yes but to my understandings, isn't over the course the theatre runs the movie it's agreed upon that the theatre's % will increase every week?

Week 1 - 10%
Week 2 - 25%
Week 3 - 45%

possibly capping at that rate or a tad higher until it's time to pull it from theatres?

From what I'm told by management, it goes like this:

Week 1 - 30%
Week 2 - 40%
Week 3 - 50%

Generally stopping around 60%; however, every theater is different, and there are viariables when it comes to how bad you may want a specific movie. Whether you have compitition, or a production company doesn't like your numbers, someone is out there making the arangements.

As an example, our competitor theater agreed to go 30% for one week off tickets, and 30% again for the next week, just so we wouldn't get the movie. (There's a contract between us and them, that we can't have a movie that they have, and they can't have what we have.)
