Had the day off work today to partake in some Group Bonding with my fellow sailors.

Not that sort of bonding you filthy b*stards. I know you where thinking it so don't even try and deny it.

Anyways, we spend the day at a paintball range, happily blasting the living sh*t out of each other and generally enjoying shooting our bosses at as close a range as possible.

the most amusing moment came after i was taken out after a Kamakazi style raid on an opposition stong point (took two out but thier was 5 of the buggers and they proceeded to paint me white right afterwards.)

I was walking back with the two i shot when we spotted one of my team lay right at the far end not even holding his gun, so all three of us unloaded on him, lazy bast*rd.

We got an award at the end for our brave and heroic act Smiley: grin

What sort of company lead stuff do you guys get upto?

We get together once a year, drink, hand out awards for attendance, accuracy, and productivity.

Other than that, I cook for the guys about once a month, usually burgers or dogs.

That's it.

I wish the group I worked with was half as cool. I work IT for the City of LA. I guess you can classify the people I work with as boring and lacking in athletic talent. Karaoke is the wildest thing I have done with my coworkers.

That being said karaoke is actually quite fun with a bunch of drunk Asians in Chinatown.

No, that does not say "Group Bondage", much to my chagrin.

Actually it turns out that doing just about anything with a group of drunk Asians is fun in any locale.

Company lingerie pillow-fights?

Nothing much here. We have a summer picnic and a winter Christmas party.

We have LAN parties and bull-roasts.

but at our larger company meetings we take turns beating the hell out of an HP LaserJet, Office Space style.

we even cast lots to see who get's to drop it out of the top floor window...

although I think we may all have cancer now, as we didn't take the toner cartridge out of the last one....

<cough>

We're supposed to regularly visit a Country House type place and sort out massive financial deficits and unacceptable Cancer rates by writing on Flip Charts, Post-It notes and undertaking 'ice-breaking' exercises. FFS!

I usually turn up, sign in, go to the bar and get some work done, or fuck off down the Pub until they've finished twatting about.

That's in work-time though. My many years on this shi
tty little planet of yours have taught me that socialising with co-workers outside of work always ends in tears for someone.

Different for people who work and live together (E.g. Military, rig-workers etc.) I know, but office parties or paintballing weekends always spill over into Monday Morning one way or the other.

Truck rodeo! 18 wheels, a measuring tape, and a rubber ducky.

There is food, fun, prizes, bragging rights, and a whole lot of showing off.

The winners of these events get to compete on a national level. I look forward to it every year.

We just do gay little pot lucks and the reward is a lot of gas, a ****** palm pilot, and a 5 day-off chit.
