A 3 hr movie who has time to watch a 3 hr movie.
If i have time to watch the 3 LotR extended editions back to back i have time to watch one 3 hour film.

I liked the movie as much as I liked the book. Just a great story.

Yep, white people have done lots of bad things to darker colored people, just for being darker.
Not being among those who have committed heinous and horrible facts, I refuse to be ashamed of being white.
Now, if I could get my old man to stop using the word n1gger as a general term for black people, I'd be happy. THAT, I'm ashamed of. (Yes, I realize I have about the same level of responsibility for both items, but he's related to me and you want your family to be better than that.)

I was merely pointing out an excellent movie which dealt with racial tensions in a very thought provoking way.
