Welcome back Katie. Did you enjoy the beach?
#9 Jul 23 2005 at 12:37 PM Rating: Excellent
The beach was fun. I'd never been to the ocean so it was pretty cool. I gathered all sorts of pretty sea shells, watched the sun rise over the east coast one morning and then drove and watched the sun set over the west coast. It was beautiful. It was also my first time flying. That was neat, it wasnt bad at all.

Orlando was awesome but I have to say I'm glad to be back in my own bed. 12 days with my family was definantly tiring, I thought about bailing out and flying home early more than once. I told Mr.Katie that I would not mind living in Florida, everything is green and beautiful. Yeah its humid and hot but I've decided I perfer that to hot and dry like West Texas where we live. The lightening storms were just amazing to watch.

Disney was disney. It was fun. If any of you plan to go anytime soon, make sure you ride Mission Space. I loved epocot. I thought Animal Kingdom was the best park though.

Welcome back, I'm glad you had a good vacation Katie! The Florida lightning storms are definitely amazing, I've grown to miss them a lot now that I don't have them around. I totally missed Animal Kingdom, I moved away from Florida right before they finished building it so I never got to go. Anyway, good to see you back, did you take any good pictures?

Going through a hurricane or two might change your mind on that.

Hurrican schmurricane. Live through a west texas tornado/thunder/lightening/flood storm and you will see that hurricanes are nothing.

If you were in Orlando did you get a chance to check out Universals Island of Adventure? That, IMO, is by far the best theme park ever! And it being your first time to the ocean, did you get to ride the waves? I be they were a tad bigger with Dennis having come through and more fun to ride

I went to all the parks except for Blizzard Beach. Islands of adventure was fun! It was really great. No, I didnt ride the waves, they were having rip current warnings and personally I'm scared from hearing about all the shark attacks recently. I went no deeper than mid thigh and played in the water. I built some sand castles, watched the boats go by and got nice and brown.
