Umm...Rick Santorum is trying to do exactly that. Do you want some links?

Here.

SANTORUM: And if you make the case that if you can do whatever you want to do, as long as it's in the privacy of your own home, this "right to privacy," then why be surprised that people are doing things that are deviant within their own home? If you say, there is no deviant as long as it's private, as long as it's consensual, then don't be surprised what you get.

...

AP: I mean, should we outlaw homosexuality?

SANTORUM: I have no problem with homosexuality. I have a problem with homosexual acts. As I would with acts of other, what I would consider to be, acts outside of traditional heterosexual relationships

...

AP: OK, without being too gory or graphic, so if somebody is homosexual, you would argue that they should not have sex?

SANTORUM: We have laws in states, like the one at the Supreme Court right now, that has sodomy laws and they were there for a purpose. Because, again, I would argue, they undermine the basic tenets of our society and the family.

Would you like your crow fried or poached?

This is, on one hand, one of the most retarded things I've read this week (it's only Thursday though) and, on the other, completely worthy of someone defending a man who said homosexuality will lead to legalized polygamy and incest.

First off, unless you're somehow implying that homosexuality is driven by economics, I fail to see how moving to "an upscale neighborhood" is going to ensure you don't live by any scary gay people. I know most people trying to move "up" in where they live are trying to escape factors like crime, gangs, violence, decaying properties, unemployment, etc. I didn't know homosexuality was one of those factors.

Secondly, not legalizing gay marriage will do nothing to stop a couple of gay men from moving in next door and having loud buttsex within earshot of your virgin WASP daughters (thus turning them into lesbians, no dount). It just means they'll be having loud buttsex in sin and it'll be harder for them to visit one another in the hospital. Your only option here would be to make buttsex illegal which you just said no one is legislating.

I really started to laugh when I read the part about his "WASP" daughters turning dyk.

Yes, I get it. You have homosexual fantasies about spurting on another man. Good for you.

Don't be too hard on Lef for his views. I have a great deal of respect for him and, while we don't necessarily see eye to eye on the issue, he's very gracious in his debating. And really, I DO see his point. If I truly believed that homosexuality was wrong, I wouldn't want to expose my kids to that either. I DON'T feel it's wrong, but I understand the mindset. I feel that drug use is wrong, and I'd feel like a bad parent if I raised my kids next to a crack house. How is this any different? People are allowed to decide for themselves if homosexuality truly IS a moral issue. I'm not going to judge someone for that.
