Perhaps when people have spent large sums of money to live in an upscale neighborhood away from the usual problems of the hustle and bustle of downtown life only to have a gay married couple move in next door. People take their family life and what they exposed to very personally.
However, noone is legislating who can or cannot sleep with each other.
This is, on one hand, one of the most retarded things I've read this week (it's only Thursday though) and, on the other, completely worthy of someone defending a man who said homosexuality will lead to legalized polygamy and incest.
First off, unless you're somehow implying that homosexuality is driven by economics, I fail to see how moving to "an upscale neighborhood" is going to ensure you don't live by any scary gay people. I know most people trying to move "up" in where they live are trying to escape factors like crime, gangs, violence, decaying properties, unemployment, etc. I didn't know homosexuality was one of those factors.
Secondly, not legalizing gay marriage will do nothing to stop a couple of gay men from moving in next door and having loud buttsex within earshot of your virgin WASP daughters (thus turning them into lesbians, no dount). It just means they'll be having loud buttsex in sin and it'll be harder for them to visit one another in the hospital. Your only option here would be to make buttsex illegal which you just said no one is legislating.
