Having recently finished reading a number of memoirs of Jewish exiles from Weimar Germany (Feuchtwanger, Hobsbawm, Heym etc.), the anti-semitic language which was 'en vogue' throughout Western Europe and the USA at the time is returning.

Muslims are the New Jews? Not a new proposition, but borne out every day in the knee-jerk press (left and right wing) lately.

Off you pop!

Surely you're not just now noticing the similarities?

I hear that the first "suicide attackers" were from the Jews in Israel against the Romans. They would simply approach the Roman commander in some public place and slit their throats or somthing similar. This ensured their deaths from the other Romans around, but nonetheless got the job done.

Were they working for the People's Front of Judea? Or the Judean People's Front? Or perhaps the Popular Front of Judea (points to the one guy sitting by himself)?

Was this a Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie reference or a Mel Brooks History of the World Part I reference? I'm not sure, either way I remember it as funny.

Ahh yes, Life of Brian. LOL, that is such a sacreligeous movie on so many levels. That's why I remember it.

"Always Look On The Bright Side of Life". LOL, a bunch of people being crucified singing that song. One image from the movie I remember.

Also, The Sermon On The Mount and the argument that some of the audience members were having because they just couldn't quite hear mr jesus up there on the mount (no audio magnification and all). LOL, the implications of that entire scene in the movie are mind boggling and hilarious.

Now I need to find that movie.
