It's about 23:30 here, and I'm sitting in an internet cafe trying to figure out these damn foreign keyboards. Anyways, I thought that I'd check in and see how you crazy bunch were doing, and of course, ask for all the god stuff that I've missed in the past few weeks.
Italy is amazing. We started off in Rome, which has so much unbelievable history packed into every corner, you could stay an entire month and still not see everything. The churches, the ruins, the night life, all outstanding.
Venice was fun, the food was good, but there's not a whole lot to do in the city after you've seen Piazza de San Marco. One night there was enough.
Then came the beaches on the Venitian Riviera. I've never felt like so much of a tourist in all my life. We were the only people with even a remote understanding of English, but the beaches were nice, and the food was good (a common theme in all of Italy).
I'm now in Florence, and I've done the Tower of Pisa and a bit of wine tasting. The next few days are to be spent walking around the city, looking at the different churches, museums, and restaurants. Then, we stop overnight in Dublin, Ireland, where I plan on taking the tour of the Guiness brewery and getting sufficiently drunk to last the entire plane ride back to the States.
Expect a full report when I get back to the comfort of my own laptop. Until then, ciao!
