As long as we rely on consuming non-renewable and non-widely available resources, there can never be peace.

that is just one of the main facts of why I don't like it will ever happen

also it is usually natural for humans to want to have more and be better then someone else and these combine cause the natural competition that keeps peace nearly impossible to obtain

saying its human nature to war isnt quite true. In a recent study of primates cultural structures, the aggressive nature of the beasts were studied. The apes would fight over their territory and establish dominance as expected, but after the initial fights the "alpha ape" would go up to the apes he had fought and groom them in a kind of peace offering. The primates did fight over the basic things, but it was an innate instinct to make up, perhaps a biological instinct that deals with macrobiological systems(certain cells act together because they realize, perhaps not on a concious lvl, that they are stonger together). Anyways, it was just facinating seeing that our nature is not just to steal and kill to make ourselves better, we are just as capable of being peacemakers, and with superior intelligence over primates(well, some os us),we should be able to avoid the fighting completely.

i aggree we SHOULD be able to work out problems with fighting...i probably should have worded it as "the current mentality of a lot of humans" rather then "human nature"...but this mentality is why i don't think that it will ever happen

I'd say there is a better chance of having Earth in pieces than peace on Earth within 1000 years.

But, barring mutual destruction of the planet, it would probably take a lot longer than 1000 years for us to die off, so no go.

ever lasting peace is only acheivable once everybody is exactly the same. no different races or cultures all one. and under the same rule. at that point there will be everylasting peace. you can also expect the mark of the beast too :) until then everything else is squash.

did you say the mark of the beast you retarded freak? are you seriously suggesting that peace will not come till after some religious apocalypse? go die a painful death.

im saying peace will no come unless there is some kinda of complete orgainization to where there are no differences because everybody is the same. that's the only way peace will come. there's no conflict because everybodies the same. i think the religious reference may have touched a nerve with you. ahhh did a priest touch your bum bum when you where being baptised or something? how about instead of me dying a painful death you lick my sweaty balls and like it. hehe
