I'm just curious if anyone could provide some insight into how this works, doesn't realy make sense to me.

I thought the whole difference (basicaly) between judaism and chirstianity was that the jews beleive the messiah hasn't come and christians beleive jesus was the messiah, so how can some jews say they beleive in jesus?

Jews for Jesus is an Evangelical Protestant organization founded in 1973 by Martin Rosen, also known as Moishe Rosen, an ordained Baptist minister, with a goal of converting Jews to Christianity.

Its evangelics led by a converted jew trying to convert more jews. Not jewish people that are jewish but down with Jesus.

On a side note that name is horrible misleading, as was said in the article.

Quote:
The Board of Governors of The Long Island Council of Churches voiced similar sentiments in a statement that "noted with alarm" the "subterfuge and dishonesty" inherent in the "mixing [of] religious symbols in ways which distort their essential meaning", and named Jews for Jesus as one of the three groups about whom such behavior was alleged

This is the biggest bunch of bull in the world, you can't be a jew and believe in jesus.

They are just Christians doing what they do best, trying to "Save souls", this is no different than the crusades or the inquisition. thankfully they arent using the sword to do it now.

1. Necroposting is teh suxx0rz.
2. You're absolutely right. You can't be a Jew like Jesus himself, Saul (Paul) of Tarsus, Peter, John, James or any of those other people and be a Christian. I'm glad somebody sees this issue with such clarity.
