So hows everyone doing, returning to work and all after a long weekend? I hope you all had some fun and actually got away from your computer for awhile.

Did everyone have a nice fourth?

I wanna go home. Smiley: banghead

I regret trying to be the good employee and not taking the whole week off.

Good employee? WTF is wrong with me? I just wanted the extra cash.

Made a BBQ yesterday. Also saw Cinderella Man (little late, but was bored.) Good movie. BBQ was good, too.

I'm super tired. Like really. I wanna go home. Did I say that already?

No coffee this morning either.

good weekend here too. Sat was hubbys birthday and our 9 yr anniversary for when we started dating. So weird as Ican still remembewr that day pretty well. I worked but after we hung out, cleaned house and chilled.

Sunday we had a good friend from FL and her new beau come to visit. We had a whole bunch of our mutual friends over for a good sized bbq that lasted until almost midnight. They spent the night.

Yesterday we went out for breakfast and then came home and recouped until we went out to view fireworks. We beat the traffic, had ourselves a good seat, enjoyed a great display and booked it home. It's been a long weekend and Im trying to still wake up.

Excellent weekend. Movie day was a rousing success. My eyes hurt I am think the smell of popcorn will make me throw up, but I am now satified with my consumerism for the month. List of movies
Batman Begins: Very good movie
War of the Worlds: Good but it scared my wife too much
Madagascar: Short and a couple of good one liners
Bewitched: Not bad at all
The Longest Yard: Disappointing, I guess I expected better.

After circling the local high school several time looking for any spot at all to get on the roof, My S/O and I were successful. We gathered several milk crates from the other side of the facility and using those and old 1950's water fountain succeded on climbing atop part of the school. From there we were able to access a ladder and climb to the highest point of the school and possible the highest point in the area.

We could see fireworks going off in every direction that we looked. It was good fun trying figure out from where the various displays were coming from. We could see the largest ones from the middle of Baltimore quite clearly. I really was amazed how many were going on and thinking back on it now seems as cool as being there and watching the panorama. It really reminded me how close everything really is. It was like looking at a map. One thing that facinated my S/O was the differnt sounds produced by the varying distances that we were from the explosions and launchings. We could actually hear the ones from the City, but by the time that we heard the 'thump thump thump of them being launched, we were watching them explode at the same time.

The only visitors we had were a group of 5 or so teenagers who were retarded about snapping cellphone pictures of themselves every 10 seconds. They made me rather paranoid because of the noise they were making. The ballfields of the school had apparenty become filled with people doning blankets and sparklers. After the main finales the kids dubbed us the "smartest people in Dundalk" and made their way back down. For another hour or so fireworks continued fairly steadily and many were from people still in the ball fields and houses near the school, so still pretty loud and close. We made love to all of this upon that roof and it was hot (but I have several large bug bites now).

Getting down was a new adventure. We descended the ladder and found that some Canadians that were from some marching band was inside of the school. They were being disgusted by some "water-bugs" as we call our enormous cockroaches here, and I poked my head down and greeted them, much to their surprise. They told us that that looked like a pretty high jump and to be careful and I questioned them as to their foreign ways and they went on their ways. The problem with getting down was that the safest way would be for me to lower myself down with my arms close enough to the ground first. Unfortunatly after the savage love making that had recently went on I found that I had hardly and strength left. It took about 20 minutes of walking around this little roof area we were on before I finally jumped and rolled. I then caught my girl as she worked her way off the roof as well. We then walked around the school a bit more searching for these parachute type things that were falling from some of the explosions. We found one finally and were satisfied. We then walked back to her place and after a meal of some pesto pasta, passed out in each others arms watching Conan.

Saw Bewitched this weekend as well. Had I rented it and seen it alone I would have been bored and never made it through it. But as a "hold hands and share your popcorn" date movie, it was an enjoyable watch. All depends on context, I suppose.

Aside from feeding the Hollywood Machine, it was a weekend of general relaxation, some shopping, wandering various downtown districts and picking up immunization records for my son.

Saw Batman Begins this weekend with Mr. Tare on our dinner/movie anniversary date. The film was pretty good - far better than any of the other Batman movies.

As for the rest of the weekend, it was spent cleaning and getting ready to sell our house. What fun.

Picked up her wedding dress, started working on invites. Found an apartment, bought my first new couches for the move-in. Hung out with both sides of the family of different days, had a fantastic martini, watched fireworks. Skinned a live baby cow, BBQ'ed, and swam.

Other than that, didn't do much.

For the record ladies and gents; Pepsi is NOT a sutable caffiene supplement to the absence of coffee.

I didn't have time to pass by a Starbucks this morning and my office supplies no means of mental nurishment. Smiley: cry

Well, getting detailed with the actual weekend, it was alright. Was supposed to go to Orlando the whole week, but everything was booked until August 21. Ended up just hanging out with my friends (all two of them) for the grand majority of the time.

Ate some BBQ, saw some fireworks, and like I mentioned before, saw Cinderella Man.

Quite honestly, I expected Cinderella Man to be a whatever type flic. Smiley: yikes I was dead wrong. GREAT movie, a definit must watch. (Bring tissues. Smiley: frown)

I'm exhausted. Spent a lot of time outside, relaxing, with no schedule to speak of. It felt longer than a weekend and yet ended too soon. Discovered a new yummy cheap wine, drank about two bottles and broke in some killer black heels dancing with Omanis at the Folklife Festival After-Party.

Now that I've given notice, the urge to skip out on work and use up my sick days was strong, but I dragged myself in today. Except for the paycheck, I regretted it. Teaching girls 4-15 how to dance salsa, merengue, bachata and cumbia is exhausting. Especially when one is autistic and no one tells you. Can't wait until summer camp is over.

Saturday morning Jonwin and I spent ..Sorry my 18 year old, who reads this board, doesn't like to read about my personal love life on internet.. in bed.

Saturday, spent on phone with 21 year old daugther tell me, how their father once again went off the deep end and threaten her and her boyfriend. They had been renting house to my ex and he hadn't been keeping up on the rent. Told her to call the police if she felt my ex could become verbally abusive or violent. Meanwhile, she was to call her BF at work and have him come home. Put off calling her older sister and son-inlaw, who were away for weekendJonwin and I both felt that the last thing oldest needed 18 days before her due date, was more stress. Oldest and her husband had told my ex that he could move into their basement. I had misgiving about any such living arrangement, when we were told 3 months ago.

Sunday spent day home, while Jonwin had to work. Youngest came over to visit and we talked about EQ and surf the internet together. I got headache just before her sister came to give her ride home. I took a nap after taking pain pill. Evening was spent finishing a book and making sure I fleetsaved.

Monday was spent in my bathrobe, being lazy. I caught up on drama between Asylum ogame Alliance and an asshat, while Jonwin did do some stuff around the house that he felt couldn't be put off. We turn on PBS for fireworks, while Jonwin joke about putting some spagetti on the grill.

Today I was lucky to remember a doctor's appointment just intime to catch bus and make it there. The doctor agreed that I had started pre-menapause. Not sure if I'm glad to know my next few years will be filled with hot flashes and the emotional roller coaster ride. I stop by museum and waited for Jonwin to get off work.

Come home and had to tell oldest, what her father did over the weekend, because her sister couldn't without a panic attack again. The last word I got, was ex now blames 21 year old for fact that her sister and husband won't let him move in with them.

Thus, I once again feel like no soap opera could match the story of my life.

DSD, I think sometimes the only reason I'm not totally loony, is that I can constantly joke about my life.

Today is my day to be lazy again. By 3 am the Ayslum seems to have rolled up the sidewalks and I spent another hour trying to find someone to entertaine me. I've decide if none of posted on the ogame boards they would be as boring as a tupperware party.

Thankfully now you can just order tupperware on the internet, though I do miss all the ladles they gave me at parties.

Sorry for the drama, Elne. I feel even worse for your daughters, since it's easier to get distance from a husband than a father. Oh-and tell your 18-year old to grow up. Your mom and her hubby ***** like bunnies whenever they get the chance. That's what people in love do. Deal with it.

DsD-Work is an emotional roller coaster. At times I can't wait to go, and then my department's assistant comes through and gives me a big hug and talks about my "light" and makes me cry. If it wasn't what I was looking for professionally, the people here are certainly wonderful, some of the nicest I've worked with, and it will be sad to go. Last day is a week from today, and then I'll go straight into class.

I'm excited about the new possibilities in my life and happy to be setting my course. I've actually never felt better about my desicions in all aspects, and I think it shows.

Leaving people you really enjoy at work is a hard thing to do. You always promise yourself you're going to keep in touch but most of the time you slow down and stop after awhile. I'm glad you have some great people youve worked with while you were there.

As for the direction youre life is heading, I think you have it right on. I'm so excited it is finally panning out. I'll do a little happy dance for you when I go refresh my coffee Smiley: lol

Speaking of coffee, I haven't really drunk straight coffee in a while. I had some this morning, and it is giving me one hell of a headache.
