Our views on marriage are a little strange.
I personally don't care much for getting married. I don't think I'd make a good parent so probably won't have children. Marriage, to me, is the legal preparation for making a family, as Yanari mentioned. I come from an intact, two parent household which is a bit of a rarity among my peers.
My girlfriend does want to get married, but for some strange reasons. Her sister has been living with one man for nine years, has two kids (4 and 1) and they're still not married. If Candice married before them, that would make her year. She also intends to walk down the aisle in black sneakers.
