I know you all have been wondering "Hmmm, I wonder how Nephthys' wedding has been progressing?"

So, in the interest of you all, here's where we are at:

Registered - Greatest gift list of your entire life. I think we registered for everything in the Target. You walk up and down the aisles, shoot this upc gun at anything you think you might possibly want, and BAM! Some stiff buys it for you just for feeding them dinner.

Centerpieces - We are making them ourselves, her design. Net cost $12 a table and they look great too. God Bless spray paint, Walmart, and Dollar Tree

Guest List - 125 people. Not quite the small gathering we had hoped for, but when you grow up in a town and live there your entire life, you kidna have alot of people to invite. My side? 30 people. She has the rest.

Honeymoon - Deciding between Cabo San Lucas and Cancun. Anyone have any suggestions on the 2? The all-inclusive plans aren't terribly expensive. With free airline miles (thank you business trips) one week all inclusive will be about $2k.

Cake - She is going to make her own. Crazy huh? She made a practice run. Wow. It looked absolutely gorgeous and tasted great too. I had my doubts, but she's an amazing girl.

Took engagement pics - No you can't see them. She still has a hard time believing me that I chat with people I've never met, so a pic of her is out of the question. Sorry fellas.
Plus I've heard rumors of her starting an account on Alla. Hiya babe

I think that's a quick overview. Wanna know the best part? You just wasted 90 seconds of your life reading this that you'll never get back. Haha fuckers.

I was going to recommend Cabo as well. I hear it's less touristy.
As for your girl starting an account here, yay. We need an official couple now that Exo and BC jumped the shark.

Girl sounds like a crafter. Is she sewing her own dress?

I've been trying to get my fiancee to use the asylum but she's too scared of you all, or maybe just doesn't care.

She just reads over my shoulder

Congratulations on the continually pending nuptials.

As a side note, should I ever get married I think I'd be pressed to find twenty people I felt like inviting.

My wedding is gonna be interesting... it looks like there would be like 10-20 people on my side and about 100 on hers.

She's very crafty. She's making all sorts of cool stuff. The guestbook, wreaths out of grapevines, this picture frame things. I just kinda watch.

Cabo seems to be less of a frat party locale, plus its waaay closer to CA than Cancun.

I'd volunteer us, but I don't know that she'd be too keen on the idea.

I told her about the punch and pie too.

I have never been to Cabo, but have been to Mexico a few times.

Cancun

The good:

1.Every club seems to be all you can drink for like 13-15 dollars.

2. Beautiful view of ocean from your water front hotel that if you find the right local they will bargin with the desk people to get you it cheap. I got a $150 a night beach front hotel for $35 a night from a situation like this.

3. It is 45 minutes away from Playa Del Carmen.

Playa del Carmen

3A. Has a topless beach.

3B. Has a 2 mile strecth along the beach where no vechiles are allowed, and is filled with all shops and resturants.

3C. All the beacj front bars are having happy hour 24/7.

3D. Did I mention the topless beach and how the girls from Europe like to go there, and these ones do shave thier legs.

4. there are actually places on the beach where you can get some privacy, as Playa del Carmen is not as advertised as Cancun.

5. You can get a bus ride from Cancun to Playa for $2 which includes Air conditioning, reclining seats, and a movie at each seat. You could also take the one for 50 cents which includes broken windows, live stock, and the drunk mexican passed out in back.

Cancun The bad

1. Busy
2. Taxis

I went to Cabo San Lucas/San Jose del Cabo for Christmas when I was a Sophmore or Junior in HS (can't remember). Didn't like San Jose del Cabo...pretty much an actual Mexican city...kinda run down, a couple nice places to eat, but I got jipped on a toy car (freakin mexicans Smiley: glare).

Cabo san Lucas is probably a lot less crowded than Cancun, but I've never had the pleasure of going there. Cabo has some very fine restaurants and a few good shops and bars. Although I didn't get to drink, I DID see a bar and people in it having a kickass time.

Either one would probably be a great honeymoon spot, but Cancun is probably a lot more touristy.

Cabo San Lucas is my favorite place to vacation by now, too bad I can't afford it!

If you do go there, be sure to hit El Squid Row, preferrably after 9 or 10 PM, if you want to have fun. Oh, but don't do it on Spring Break, or be prepared to be barfed on by drunk high school / college kids.

it sounds like you are on the right track. target is the perfect place to regester and get stuff that not only will be very usefull, but your guests wont think you are trying to win the lottery.

wish my wife was as down to earth as your soon to be wife. i have two closets full of fine china and crystall that, after 9 years of marrage, have NEVER been out of the box they were bought in. cant wait till my daughter gets married. gonna clean the closets, hehehe, tell the wife afterwards.

cancun if you are early to mid 20ish or younger. the other if you want something a little quieter and romantic and not as partytime.

best wishes.

Silly. You don't volunteer! It's more of a forced nomination.
