#29REDACTED, Posted: Jun 20 2005 at 11:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Last week I confronted this "african-american" dressed in thug atire who was cursing out the kid pushing the shopping carts. I told him, in not so nice of terms, he didn't need to talk to the kid like that and that if he didn't get in his car I was going to knock him out. Of course he got back in his car and drove off.

Whoo-hoo! You go! What will you be doing?

Concurrent translation (think Nicole Kidman in "The Translator". Travel the world, nice money vs. No health insurance, figure out own taxes

Oh well, risk not, gain not.

Well I was thinking in recent history, but I can add you in there too.

So my most adventerous thing I have done is got on a plane and met 2 people I had never met before but had talked to almost everyday for a year. One was joph in April, and the other was Flea this past weekend.

Happy now?

Elderon waht is your walking line guy Avatar from.

It's giving me odd childhood cartoon flashbacks. I know the last time I saw that I was REALLY small. It's driving me nuts. (well, not smoking is driving me nuts.. but your av is not helping).

Exactly the same thing here Kelv, I came across it on the internets and remembered it from a cartoon that I watched as a child somewhere around the same time as Fat Albert and Seasame Street (on PBS).

iirc It was a french made cartoon, and the character spoke gibberish, but it was funny. Sorry I can't remember the name, but "La line" seems to have something to do with it.

The avatar made me think of Harold and the Purple Crayon, a blast from the past.

At last year's New York State Fair, I paid for a ride that lets you free-fall 100ft. It was pretty fun, but it gave me one hell of a headache for the rest of the night.

Oh, and I recently got in the car with my dad. He hit 90 MPH, fastest I remember him going in awhile. (we weren't even in a hurry o.o)

Try 110mph+ on a motorcycle - now that's fun. Smiley: grin

Congratulations Flea in going into business for yourself! How much traveling are you planning to do? And glad you and DSD had fun irl for a change. *high five*

But back to Sabo's original thread...

Used to be an adrenaline junkie during my high school and college days. Rock climbing, bungee-jumping, sky diving, midnight surfing, skiing, snowboarding, cliff-rapelling, street racing. I even saved up my money and went to one of those schools that let you ride in an airplane while the pilots would simulate dog-fights. THAT was a trip. But you name it, I probably tried it (I can just see the scenarios thrown at me for that...) Unfortunately, after I got married, my husband could not deal with my adventures. He would just get too worried so I stopped.

Most recent thing...Going 90 mph on the freeway on the way to work, seeing highway patrol in the opposite-bound lane so I whip off the next exist and hear the tires squealing. And I hit a little chipmunk/squirrel in the process. =/

But most exciting thing ever? Sky diving in the middle of the night. Not being able to see the ground rush up at you while you're falling really plays some mind tricks.

I gave up being single for the first time in over 5 years about a week ago.

Actually it's kind of exciting.

I used to scate all the time but falling on concrete hurts and I think 7 screws in my arm is enough. Now I just stick to surfing as it truly is a passion of mine and falling into water hurts a lot less.
