Pat should post more. And stay out of the pissing wars with Kao. That's not to side with Kao, just to say that those threads were boring as hell on both sides.

Back in the day, I'd have said Smash. Simply because if Smash took a point of view on something, he was sure to have a half dozen no-names piping up "I agree!" in a vain attempt to get some reflected glory. I'm not sure if that'd wash today but if you gave him a month to get back on his game I assume it would. Who else has that today? Not really Totem, the board is too Leftist and Totem tends to post extremes just to get opposing reactions. Maybe Nobby could but he doesn't tend to post many opinion pieces. Dracoid might get away with crap but he's largely ignored in anything meaningful. I doubt it bothers him but no one agrees with Dracoid just to be seen agreeing with Dracoid.

Honestly, if I had to pick a name of person most likely to get "me too" responses (which is, in my opinion, the definition of influence), it'd be Flea. Which isn't to take away from her opinions, but there you have it.
