Try "Bowl of Oranges", too. Happy song.

Everyone in Canada knows of The Tragiacally Hip, they were huge here at one time.

I have heard of Moxy Fruvus too, but can't really remember any of their music.

Mr. Tare here. Sucked into this world of chit-chat by the great many ridiculous comments relayed to me by Mrs. Tare, from the barely literate pen/keyboard of "Friar" Reinman.

To Mrs Tare, you have your pick of Frank Black and Mike Watt cds in the house, why must you look for more?

To Reinman. I went out and bought my wife a ring for $6100 today, just to top you. It felt great. On the subject of music, the latin techno music your wife listens to doesn't count as your own musical taste, nor does it mean that your own musical tastes are evolving in any way. When was the last time you bought a cd that wasn't by No Doubt? I am going to be on your *** on this board. Tare will be my lookout, and I intend to flame every self-aggrandizing post that you submit.

To ElderonXI, if you haven't already, you will soon realize that Reinman, while technically a Canadian citizen, can hardly be considered "Canadian". He knows about Canadian cigarettes, but that is about it. Of course, everyone in Canada knows about The Tragically Hip. Even my parents do. Test Reinman's Canadian awareness from time to time, you'll be surprised, or should I say disappointed.

I remember Moxy Fruvous though, and in fact, really enjoyed a number of their songs, when I saw them on Much Music. Jian Ghomeshi (sp?) is now an entertainment correspondent on CBC television.

As for an original musical suggestion, I am looking forward to checking out Petra Haden Sings: The Who Sell Out, an a capella rendering of a classic Who album, done by a favourite vocalist and frequent collaborator of Mike Watt's.

Nice to see you all again, looking forward to ripping Reinman a new one on a regular basis. Be sure to rate down his posts everyone.

Good one. Not sure if my wife being latina is a basis for making fun of me, but I suppose with you being a conservative redneck from Alberta, I can expect no less.

I do like some salsa though, like Elvis Crespo, Fulanito, and a few others.

Yeeehaaaaa, tems fightin' words.

Not sure if my wife being a board legend is a basis for making fun of me... ;-)

As for me being a redneck, take a moment to actually read some news and political comment. The commentary of a bunch of blue-collar shitheads on a ship in Brazil doesn't count as educational.

Be sure to wash your hands and your blue collar tonight before you **** the night away.

I think it is; I guess opposites do attract.

Meh, whatever, that's a bit of a incoherent argument, but I suppose I'll let it go. It certainly seemed to have a lot of emotion attached to it.

Actually, I spend most of my free time on these boards. I think some of these people are white collar, never really bothered to find out. It didn't seem important at the time.

Not sure if the collar is dirty enough for a wash tonight, but I'll definately take you up on the latter.

Lately I've been into:

The Cure
The Doors
David Bowie
Handsome Boy Modeling School
Black Eyed Peas
Jimmy Luxury(good luck finding his stuff, my friend has a cd with like 12 of his songs, but when I search ANYWHERE I can only find one :( )

I used to music swap with a friend I met online. We'd stay up all hours of the night chatting and sending each other music to listen to.

She was too far away though... If only she'd come a little closer.

/digress off

So um.. Yeah. Check out that music :)

Dude. Bowie owns you.

He was one of the few musicians I recognized on the game, Amplitude. He sang my favorite song on the game, too, which sounds like "Everyone Gets High". (It's really "Everyone Says Hi")

I think you might really enjoy this one Tare.

Joyce.

Move over Gwen Stefani its Joyce.

But nevermind what I think. ROLLING STONE: FOUR STARS:

Ex-Little Rock 1st Baptist Church singer Joyce attempted breakthrough in 2001 with Love, Joyce, a trend-conscious, big-budget pop album that failed to snag a mass audience and frustrated her fans. By contrast, her latest release could be a home recording, but its uncluttered classicism couldn't be more current: Low-key country-soul delights like "I Cry Everyday I forget to take my Zoloft" fall comfortably between Bright Eyes and Norah Jones without apparently trying. Former Wallflowers guitarist Michael Ward and Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench provide backdrop, and Joyce casually croons with familiar ache. More of a mood piece than a collection of commercial hooks, Suit Yourself peaks on its final three cuts: the quietly pleading "Hallway Sex"; a hushed ode to a lover she likens to "Lobsterita"; and a long, languid stroll through Walgreens drugstore called "Cocaine,Aqua-net and Paper Roses."

Who could resist the striped rainbow dress and rose that is Joyce.

While this is bumped, I'll recommend:

Get Behind Me Satan - The White Stripes (album)

This is seriously one of the best albums I've heard in a long, long time. Jack White is simply awesome.

X & Y - Coldplay (album)
This sounds more like A Rush of Blood to the Head than Parachutes, but that doesn't mean it's not a good buy. It's a new Coldplay album, what else can I say?
