Death is supposed to be a long sleep. When I die I expect to find myself laid out in a bed with satin sheets, down pillows and no alarm clock. I don't want to serve in Heaven or reign in Hell.

The least I could hope for is reincarnation as a narcoleptic, or a housecat.

Im not entirely sure what lays in the beyond but I do know that if there is some sort of hell that I would involve reading the reincarnations of this exact thread that pop up every 2-3 months.

while typing in haste...

I have found that for myself, there is a pattern of 'lifetimes' which is kinda semetrical.

I have 7 Primary lifetimes going on with countless Secondary lifetimes in between.

The 1st and 7th greatly reflect one another
as well as the 2nd and 6th, 3rd and 5th, and the 4th is kinda a conjunction.

I'm on number 6(primary) right now, so I have greater insight on the 2nd right now. However they all reflect each other.

and the secondary lifetimes are ones whch contained a lesser part of my being, thus in these I died early, or had some harsh lessons to learn ect.... Whereas the Primary ones are the ones that most represent your whole and true self.

anyway.. you guys say that you have "seen" some of yours.

So waht were you?... Actually, I feel a more accurate syntax would be, waht Are you?

and if you have any details, how do you find that they come into play in your current incarnation?

I understand that much, but didn't you state you were Catholic? I'm not sure there is a sect of Christianity with a stricter ruleset. If you feel that perhaps we have misunderstood what God was teaching us how come you do not follow a sect with more freedom in it's religious teachings. Just curious is all.

No afterlife.

But I do sometimes suspect that Christians come back as dyspepsia

Xythex, I am Catholic and plan to always follow the Catholic faith. What I said was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. I went to a private Catholic high school and one of the classes we had to take was World Religions. It was SUPPOSED to be a class exploring and learning about all the different religions in the world. In reality, it turned out to be a class of "This is why all the other religions are wrong and why Catholics are the best."

I have always believed that religion and faith are such personal issues that to impose your beliefs on someone else is not what God intended. Saying that, Catholicism is the way that I personally can express my faith comfortably and I don't expect others to BE Catholic just because I AM.

How sucky would it be if you were a Jew and you found out you were Hitler in a past life?

It'd just be some strange form of suicide. And if this were the case it'd be a way to show Hitler how the other side felt.

Angsty,

How did you get names? That's one thing I can never seem to do, except by odd accident.

Personally, I don't know what to believe. Christianity is just so... so huge, that it's sort of hard to completely disbelieve. Same with some other religions.

I can see it the cold way, where our brain just shuts down... but then what happens to the you afterwards? What happens to your consciousness? Do you just see nothingness, forever? I mean, it's really hard to put into words, but do you see/hear/touch/smell/taste anything? It's too hard to just envision there being pure nothing left.

On a bit of a tangent... is it possible that this, the world we live in now, is an afterlife? Maybe we go from one afterlife to another, one world to another, forgetting what happened before.

I'd like it if it was reincarnation... but what happens when we expand off of this Earth? Or if that never happens, (I seriously doubt that) what happens when we're all fried by the sun? What happens if humanity is ever truly... over? What happens when all life on this planet is wiped out? (it's going to happen sooner or later)

It gives me one hell of a headache just thinking about it.

Don't worry. I'm confident that will ease off when you die.

Angsty, ever try actually looking up the names and dates to verify? I've always wanted to do that on my own, but I've yet to visit a time period with good enough records. Pity, really.

I also can never remember the exact years, only time periods, and most have been in the 1050-1500 range, in Europe (France, Britain, Scotland, Spain).

Nothing special for me either.

1050-1100(Betaine) oldest daughter of a Minor lord in Northern Europe, killed for vengence in a feud going on between my family and another Minor Lord nearby.

1250(Ileyah) woman in a powerful family, southern Britain) father dead, eldest brother was in charge. I had a very close relationship with him, and he allowed me to choose my own husband.

1350 (dont know name) Peasant farmer in France, I had 4 children, all of whom died as infants but my middle son. I lived until 32 where I died of fever.

1425- (Catheraine) Spain. Youngest daughter out of 7 to a proftiable merchant. Married at 15 to a second son of a Viscount. Widowed at 22 with no children and never remarried because people thought I was "barren". I moved back home and helped my parents until they passed away. I lived to be 45 where I died of consumption.

Those are just a couple quick examples I've had more recently. As I said, I wish I could get some kind of documentation to verify, but without fixed dates and so long ago, it would be a massive pain in the butt

Since I've gone into some rather strange places while meditating I can believe in reincarnation.

I just got up from a very interesting meditative state. I neer thought to try to map pass lives, so decided to give it a try.

I had pictures of holding a lamb and being a Victorian Governess. Then I thought to follow the path of my two totems, wolf and bear.

The Wolf lived in the American west before Europeans came. The Bear lived in the Forest of Northern Europe during the Roman Empire.

Last I had a image of an Native American in Southern California and a Greek priestess.

Then I went was sent into a Transental state that was better then any ****** I ever had.

I've still coming down from this. Life is sweeter somehow and the depression that rack my weekend gone.

My Primaries(incarnations in which I was most "purly" manifested):

8) Omega-Self

7) ????-???? = See number 1.

6) 1977-???? = Me Now

5) 183?-189? = Irish immigrant (American Civil War-Georgia)Fought on South side-Passage paid I believe so that I would fight. Was a raging alcholic, but I lived long and ended up playing piano in a saloon somwhere. I believe that I have actually found the place wher I lived when I actually died, near Ellicott City MD. THe only re-occuring 'normal' type dream of standing at this place, one day was with some people and came upon the same place.

4) 14??-= Born Scottish of Lindsay Family. Alot of odd stuff happened here. I shant go into it. You'd think I was even more crazy.

3) 3??AD = Born somwhere in present-day Germany. Roman soldier (who wasn't?), deserted. Traveled extensivly. Was imprisoned at one point for pirating on the Mediterranean.

2) ?????BC-early AD = I believe that in this lifetime I lived for multiple millinia. Started before the Flood. A sort of "suspension" went on, I surfaced in India, traveled to the Middle-East, lived the good life in Egypt 18th dynasty. A prince of some sort and faked my death for some reason. Lived in Rome and wrote a letter to Augustus Caesar. I lose track of this one after traveling toward Britain.
There is obviously more to this one, but tooo long.

1) I was a fey. wahtever you think that means. This means that I didn't follow the new style of the modern human being. Maybe a singing Neanderthal? I think that the age of Atlantis(wahtever that is) happened during this incarnation.

8) "Alpha-Self"

In between these are many no doubt, waht I call Secondary.. I know that in several I was a murderer, a rapist, died in child-birth, I have 'seen' my death in several of these. I have seen the depths of depravity. Even those these I concider secondary, they still hold great bearing. For if I do the wrong thing, or am wrong and following the wrong path, my present life can become just another secondary as well.

as to where everything else such as God and Everything else... that's another post.

"I'm Catholic and yeah we Catholics have the idea of Heaven and Hell. Otherwise, what else was Jesus saving us from?"

I think of of it as Jesus trying to save us from ourselves. We choose to create a heaven or hell here on earth. Personally I don't believe in an after-life. We are just grasping for some sense that our time here had more meaning than trying to have fun. I try to use this as a drive to take the chances I get.
