Well, it's more of the influence that we leave there. It's only fine as long as we are fine with the purposes of whoever we let remain in charge.

Things are alot more uh..subtle these days.

There are new ways of colonization that we havn't even invented names for yet...
unless we have.

If this is so, then how come we have to reject things like the Kyoto Treaty? Seriously, what kind of empire are we?

I think if i were to wage war with china I'd stay strictly defensive and sink anything in the Pacific. But I'd also dedicate at least one carrier battlegroup to destroying infrastructure and manufacturing on the mainland.

(assuming of course the F-35 was in deployment and we had the advantage of stealth)

Perhaps now that Europe wants to sell arms to China we should reinstate the Japanese Navy by donating a carrier or two to them.

The U.S.S. Terrible Resolve kinda has a nice ring to it! Whaddaya think?

Smiley: laugh @ afraid of the Chinese.

Mark my words, the closest chance China will ever have to making a military victory on the US would be to attack now while we are deployed in Iraq.

Once the F-35s make it into service we will have unparalleled control over tactical and strategic targeting.

You may have numbers, but that will only be an advantage to you if you plan on making a bridge of dead bodies across the Bering Strait.

So fuc[/u]k China!

My main worry about China for years now has been thier lack of one vital and neccesary natural resource. WATER

Thats a crapload of folks....folks get thirsty...China looks around...see's all those border countries with more water than they can use (China actually imports water by the way) and decides..."Hmmm...." and does a border change that now includes that country and it's water.

Meanwhile the short guy wearing the cowboy hat gets all upset and decides to stick his nose in China's business....bad idea.....very bad.

Anywho, that's how I see it.
