Nothing. I just don't want to adopt them. And I don't like you because you're a pothead, not because of the redhead thing! Smiley: grin

Ow. That kinda hurt.

As a rule, it is my considered opinion that little kids under the age of one year have little need for a father outside of the act of procreation. Granted, a dad makes it easier for mom by changing diapers, washing clothes, and helping around the house, but the physical act of caring for a kid is largely something the mom is made to do. After all, the nursing and cuddling all make the child want to be with his mother, unlike dad who just is a fifth wheel as far as childrearing is concerned.

I have always wished that kids came out of the womb at two years of age.

Anyways, I feel for ya, Flea.

They're gone today and the house is quiet. Too quiet. They were glad to see mom and dad. I became a second-class citizen shortly afterwards. I do miss them, though. Terrors.

I think that there are men who have a different view of fatherhood. Certainly they are capable of the tenderness that would be expected of a woman, but maybe conditioned so that it's less accessible. My grandfather was one of the sweetest men ever. He actually seemed softer than Grandma, in retrospect. My brother just happens to be one of those guys that feels that he plays a more authoritarian vs. nurturing role.

Younge kids freak me out. I never know how to interact with them. How can you comunicate with something that can't speak in complete sentences and when it finaly can makes no sense at all?

Being a non-verbal anti-social myself, I can understand...

I like little kids who can't walk or talk. My gf's 9 month old nephew is at just the right stage. (though apparently he can now say "hi" and is beginning to crawl!)

It's a lot of one-word concepts, like "Yummies" and "Kitty." You also hug and play with them a lot, feed them and occasionally change a few diapers.

Don't try to argue the current administration, though. Babies at that age are all Pubbies.

Flea, I just realized why your avatar looks so familiar (I know it's Eva)....it looks a lot like the Serra Angel (Magic: The Gathering playing card).

Yeah I cant deal with kids until theyre at least able to speak and walk... Then it all starts to make sense. Before that they are a double ended volcano of something resembling pudding and incapable of being bribed or reasoned with.. To all the moms out there I
/salute
you!

I'm with Totem, once they have basic skills then I can teach them how to muck up the universe around them. Now thats fun! (Speaking from experience babysitting my three year old nephew and fond memories of him running around the apartment with a pot on his head whacking it with a wooden spoon as I die of hysterical laughter)

Strangely enough, it's making me think about how nice (barring the initial discomfort) it would be to have twins. One shot.

One shot, but double damage.

Twins are especially annoying if they're identical.. they got that whole telepathic thing going on.
