Has it always been this lopsided? I seem to remember it being the opposite for a bit.

Dunno, never really looked/compared. The only time I payed attention to the REcent Visitors thingy was when Skeet made that "Fun with Recent Visitors!" thread and in the great FFXI vs Asylum War, where the Asylum troll count sky rocketed.
I hardly ever go there anymore, and when I do I only recognize a few names, but it seems pretty full...
I think it's pretty always been that way. People cry and whine about how [whatever] folks here are but, at the end of the day, sex, politics and insults get more attention than vanilla and unicorns.

It's probably all the attention given this place, the Asylum vs. whomever wars, etc. It was supposed to be a lounge for the elite and the in crowd, but has had its doors thrown open to the common street scum.
