I am watching Joss Stone kill "Crybaby" on the Grammys.

GoodNIGHT!

EDIT: I meant that in the best possible way. That girl can sing, although I hate most of her original material.

And even though she's bald, Melissa Ethridge has a voice that fries my onions.

I love watching/listening to all kinds of music. For example, I'd never heard of Loretta Lynn before (not raised here) but I saw her with Jack White, and so I may download a couple of tunes now and check her out.

EDIT: I knew who he was but perhaps typed 'Jack Black' because he's so much more entertaining...

Flipping through the channels I came across this travesty once again, watched it for about half hour. These awards are so fucking political I can't believe it. I stopped watching these awards last year after the late Johnney one every single award on a album not even up to the likes of The Spice girls. I am not saying that it was truly a huge loss to the music world but he didn't deserve any of those awards. Don't get me started on the previous years.

Song of the year? Wow that was a dissapointment. John who won again?

Let's just see who wins album of the year. I got 20 on Charles.

I turned it on for 45 seconds and saw Tim McGraw exhibiting everything grating and cliched about country music. Willie Nelson needs to beat him with his guitar.

It's not cliché when you are the one who originated it.

Its Jack White, and "Van Lear Rose" is a great album.

You might enjoy Loretta's earlier work too, which was quite controversial at the time, songs like "Don't come Home a Drinkin(With Lovin On your Mind)","The Pill", "Your Squaw is on the Warpath" and "You Ain't Woman Enough".

Loretta Lynn single-handedly brought the feminist viewpoint to country music, which was unheard of at the time, and sold record after record .

On the topic of Loretta Lynn, many country radio stations wouldn't play most of the songs off of Van Lear Rose. Too controversial for them.

*resumes lurk-age*

Norah Jones crushes everybody and until the music industry finds people of her talent, ***** them.

Stevie Wonder is the best, and pretending to read the winning announcement pricless!

Also liked the choral for the tsunami victims, great mix of styles and voices.

"Fist City" is a great song by Loretta Lynn. (No naughty jokes)

The one with her and Jack White is "I miss being Mrs. tonight" is a great song. /clap I love all music.

For me nothing beat the Joss Stone/Melissa Ethridge Joplin tribute. Was the best performance of the night, hands down.
