However, I don't usually attack grammar/spelling as a debate tactic. I agree, that's just lame

There are circumstances when it is appropriate, like when reading a post about someone bashing your 'intelligence' is like deciphering a riddle.

A person's spelling has no bearing on their intelligence. Most famous example of this, of course, is our own dearly departed Smashipoo. Exclusions apply only to pr00f, but his posts are like that no matter the subject.

I think Flea used a small is in place of an italic is. For emphasis.

At least, that's the way I read it.

Which would make you right. I actually used it in place of a higher pitched voice, which I in turn used for emphasis.

Ditto. I was just thinking the same thing.

Aye-carumba... what kind of moran would do that? *cough*trolls*cough*

So now you've moved on to pickleprince? Man! He's not even here. And we've never taken throwing temper tantrums OR ranting like a lunatic as a negative, or at least not as long as I've been here. That would qualify quite a few of us as morans, which we just aren't.

Don't take this so far. It's not about making the assylum user-friendly. Just about killing off an old, tired argument.

There is a difference between articulating your thoughts clearly and throwing temper tantrums and ranting like a lunatic.

There is? Smiley: confused

I'm for it. Bob knows I'm probably the worst speller here as I type too damn fast and forget to spellcheck before I hit post. I know how to spell I just can't type for my life.

Woot...Finally a vote I think reflects the true character of the Asylum. I will add my belated support to the vote! Besides I am looking at a new job in Ohio, so I am just going with the local flow.

I still find it odd that Smash disappeared without a word. I know a long time ago he announced that he needed to quit posting here because it took up too much of his time. This was after he quit EQ the first (or second? lol) time. He didn't stay gone for more than 2 weeks or so.

Even if he's off at work somewhere, you'd think he'd have an hour or two to come haul off at someone.

Just strange.
